I feel like I have been in the lot by 3 most years. I can't go early this year but it should be open. One year we got in early that we ended up parking in VIP before the guards showed up.

10:30 is Northerly's hard, strictly enforced curfew. Most of them are usually in the vicinity of an 11pm curfew

Excited for tomorrow, I've never been to DTE before, but it's always been on my list to check out. Dave usually throws a couple good ones toward the hardcores there from looking at the sets from the past 10 years.

Then doing my first Blossom show the next night. It's a good week!

Well that's good to know. Not that I care too much because no matter what it'll be a pretty decent show in terms of length. I was wondering why they were only getting one encore where most other shows were getting 2.

N2 at Northerly may have only had 1 encore, but they got just as many songs played as Philly N2

My suggestion is to park in the NW corner of the southern lot (see marker here: https://goo.gl/maps/JsFmVutY1gp ). The later you arrive, the less likely you'll be to be able to park where you want. I'd say you'd have to be in before 6pm to park here, but just a guess. This area is the closest to the exit, so should be the quickest out at the end. You might have similar success on the east side of the lot, near that exit. But it's a longer drive to get to the freeway.

Yeah get as close to that spot as you can and point towards the exit and pull through so you don't have to back out or have to do a 180.

Thanks for the head's up. So parking at Pine Knob isn't like Deer Creek where the lot attendants direct EXACTLY where you have to park?

Correct. At least, not if you get there early enough. If you get there late enough that you have to park in the grass lot to the north, I think they will direct you.

I think it's probably because without lines, the parking would be complete chaos otherwise. The southern lots are paved and have lines so it doesn't require as much management to get people to part rationally.

Not if you're there early enough. Obviously as it starts to fill they'll point you where to go so you're not driving around a full area. What time you think you'll be there?

We are hoping to get to the lots by 4:30-5:00, depending on traffic from Indy to Grand Blanc; and from Grand Blanc to Pine Knob.

Yeah based on my experience they shouldn't be forcing you anywhere by then.

Not sure but there is a park n ride about a mile down from the venue that you could leave your car at.

I talked to DTE today and they said food is allowed in but no drinks of any kind including unopened bottled water. Has this always been the rule? I thought you could bring water bottles in??

I thought you used to be able to take in water, I know you can at Deer Creek. I used to take in a water at times.
