    That play gets worse and worse the more I watch it. Why didn’t he tag first? Why was he tip toeing to the batter? Why wasn’t anyone covering first during the rundown? Why can’t anyone on the pirates make a good throw?

    Yeah if he didn't want to touch first base for whatever reason, all he had to do was tag Javy at any point during that before he reached first. Even after the runner crossed home plate. Tag Baez and the inning is over and the run doesn't count. Wild
