Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Hey y'all.

Had some time so catching up on some movies. I am not a big movie person at all (Go to the theatres maybe once every 2-3 years) but just saw two great movies and had to share

(Rating out of 3. 1=bad, would not watch again. 2=OK=would watch again. 3=Great=would own/PLEX, etc.

The Mule: 3. Loved this. Fun story. I honestly didn't think Clint was still with it but he was fun to watch in this movie.

A Star Is Born: 3. A lot of general hate for this movie but I really enjoyed. Bradley Cooper descent into despair was something else.

Certainly an interesting rating system. Not dogging you, just an observation.

Ha, I get that a lot. I use it for books, etc. also. I think the more numbers, the more complicated it gets. I'm not Roger Ebert--I just like it or I don't.

I heard that was dreadful/one of the worst movies ever - like poor direction, pacing, etc.

I might watch it just for that.

It's truly abysmal. It's not Left Behind bad, but I'll be surprised if I see anything worse this year, and I watch a fair amount of bad shit.

Tully — listed as a comedy in Hulu, but it wasn’t particularly funny. Some aspects were too on the nose to be humorous, but we’re mostly looking at a mother on the verge of total collapse in the midst of a mental breakdown.

Noticed Snatch was on Netflix so I watched it last night. Damn good flick... but it also made me realize how much I hate how the music/background noise, etc. is SO FUCKING LOUD in movies and the dialog is just too low. Having to keep turning the volume up/down is just annoying.

    Glass - 7.5/10

Really enjoyed most of it, wish he'd figured out a different ending. I don't like how one character's demise was basically a plot device, I didn't need to see what some might have thought was the approaching finale as I don't need to see an Avengers copout. I liked immensely where he took the movie, was thrilled to see into the Unbreakable world again...but had a really hard time with the puddle scene.

Additionallly, if someone was telling me my power was all in my head, wouldn't I say "then what's with the $100,000 sprinkler system-rigged holding cell doc?"

But with those few quibbles aside, I liked it a lot. I think it's the weakest of the three movies, but not by much as Unbreakable is one of my all time faves and Split was fantastic. The UHD native 4K presentation is excellent, pounding score and LFE effects.
