I hope this mix is Dave heavy. Sometimes I wish they would just take out Tim's mix on certain songs

I’m going to come out and say it. Mercy is surprisingly really good on this. Dave’s vocal is perfect. The mix is perfect. Why couldn’t Lillywhite have produced a version that sounded more like this? Fantastic release and definitely a top 3-5 show I’ve attended

Lillywhite did not do the final mix for AFTW.

TBH 2018 Dmb is probably better sounding then this release despite no violin. I'm willing to bet Boyd is absent/not any good and then the band is playing at max speed with heavy Tim. Hope I'm wrong, but that's my feeling.

But yeah it's no surprise that the people defending this years sets are the same ones that think 7 is overrated

Boyd isn’t absent and is anywhere from ok to pretty good on this.

This. You can tell when the band is covering for him, see JTR, but overall he's pleasant on this release.

How were they covering for him on JTR? That breakdown was intentional by all parties

It’s a weird section but it’s totally intentional. You can tell from video when they’re all giggling at each other.

I know it's intentional, to me it sounds like they added it to avoid Boyd's build up.

I don’t know. They may be better sounding but this release sounds more like DMB to me. The mix is perfect in terms of hearing Dave and Tim’s guitars the correct amount

LT7 is a top five LT. Come on now, us washers are better than that.

It's a great LT, I'd put it at 5 or 6...but for the longest time, people called it the best LT, which I don't think it is. LT 1, 2, 3, 24, 40, and 8 are better in my opinion. Maybe even 26.

I just got this today. Standard ship, California. This is a great mix, great set on paper and in performance, band in peak interlock. And I only just started Disc 2. Mouth watering for what I know is still to come.

Also: my gut tells me that the tempo has slowed for Carter. He just can't do that anymore. This release is a great night for him. Maybe one of his last truly great ones.

Great set and performance. Don't get the hype about a good mix. It sounds like shit. Cymbals are way too loud in the mix and don't sound good. Dave's guitar is way in the background. Bass is too heavy. Violin is almost non-existent. Horns don't sound like they're in the mix, but outside of it.
    Blah.

You and I have the complete opposite ears then... because Dave's guitar is VERY noticeable to me, the bass is just fine, the violin is quite prominent, and the horns sound just fine also... I might agree on the cymbals though to a slight extent, but otherwise I have no idea what you are hearing, as it is WORLDS different than what I am hearing...

Yeah I’m not all about this mix. No idea what people are hearing. There are much worse mixes on other LT, but this doesn’t even come close to touching majority of the recent releases in regards to the mix.

Honestly LT. 35 is an absolute gem if you don't have it already -- probably the best show from the 09 tour...although that LT. 36 from 2015 is solid as well. I guess it just depends on what songs you want and from what era.

That being said this release is very good as well...and the set speaks for itself.

This mix is fine....I'm listening with a nice par of studio headphones so maybe that's the difference from listening in the car...but I'm very pleased with this LT...Dave's "shit" lyrics in Drunken Soldier are funny as well.

That is a good set. Wish Shake Me was Grey Street or something, but Recently in the encore is nasty
