Here On Out

Is there really no thread on this song after all this time? Or am I that bad at using the Search function? Well anyways, this song has grown on me a ton and it's definitely a sleeper track on the album. If they incorporated the band well, it could give the song a totally different vibe from the live acoustic performance. My biggest concern is that the performance (which was as trimmed down as it could be), was 40-50 seconds longer than the album track length. Not sure how that's possible. Thoughts?

I feel like there is one too many verse and chorus in themat version, I am excited for this one too. I liked the way the Rolling Stone article praises it and called it “full” sounding.

With the talk of orchestra on this one it could be really good!!!

Actually calls it lush... but still sounds promising.

he explores the mature, singer-songwriter side he's developed during recent work like 2012's Away From the World, getting quiet, contemplative, and unusually sweet on songs both lush ("Here On Out")

I'm very nervous about this one. The PBS version is so well arranged... I just hope the studio cut can capture the magic.

It's a great example of Dave's clever phrasing ability. Beautiful song.

Super excited for this one. The PBS arrangement is hard to touch. I'm eager to hear what kind of studio treatment it received.

It's a nice little song, isn't it? I wonder if it'll be a Dave solo on the album. Has that been confirmed?

Kept it the same as pbs special ( Dave, strings and bass) Very smart. Full band would ruin this song.
