Are you more anxious for album news or touring news?

I dont want a new album, they already have too many songs that they don't rotate enough. I'd rather find out about the tour.

I'd much, much rather hear some news from the studio, as I'm very intrigued what Lillywhite can do with the current lineup and current state of the band..Also curious if he can light a fire under Dave Matthews. Somebody needs to step up and tell Dave if something sucks, hopefully Steve Lillywhite can be that guy, if necessary.

I don't really care about tour dates. I know I'll see my normal two shows and I'm fairly certain of those dates already. I don't "plan my whole summer around the tour" or anything like that.

I'm much more anxious for album news since we can expect a tour every year pretty much. We don't know much about the possible album, and adding Lillywhite to the mix makes it much more exciting.

At first I voted album. But if it's going to be BW II or worse, such as Tim in my face, then literally 0 interest. Touring would be nice considering didn't see them last summer and really want 2 nights at Post Gazette Pavilion again.

How can anyone say album based on the last 4? All that's gonna happen is they'll play the hell out of the "new" songs....people will complain about how they overplay the new songs and have forgotten the old stuff. I think with no new album the old stuff will get more play.

I don't think anybody has said they want one beofre the other. I more anxious for album news but that doesn't mean I want it before the tour happens.

Anyone saying album, would it change your mind to point out that there is literally almost no chance of getting audio clips or anything resembling real info. An announcement anytime soon would literally consist of, "DMB is in the studio. They are with Lillywhite. They are making music."

They've been in the studio a month, theres very little chance anything is close to being ready for outside listening. Rough cuts at best.

Definitely tour. Not as much hype, nor am I as excited for the new album as I am to see the guys live a few times this year. Hopefully we can get some Cville dates

Always entertains me to hear people's fantasies they believe in, regarding producers/musicians. Granted most of you have never recorded even an amateur album, or have ever met a real producer/been in a real studio, and that's understandable. But I still don't know where you get the idea that what the Producer "says" somehow has anything to do with what the musician "plays".

That's like me standing at a roulette table saying, "I want this spin to land on the 2nd 12." Sometimes it might, but my words have zero control or influence on it.

I cant say ive ever recorded an album, but I have always heard the producer plays as much of a hand in the final outcome of an album as the artists do themselves.
