Whyte has been a mandatory for 2 years...Wilder shouldn't of been given a pass to fight Breazeale who was ranked #4, or Ortiz (the rematch), but Sulaiman (the wbc prez) bent over consistently for Wilder, and Whyte certainly has a case against him.
I think if the Fury AJ fight is a real thing...and it seems that it is, than Fury will have to vacate after the 3rd Wilder fight. In which case Whyte likely fights Wilder for the vacated title.
A lot of wheels spinning to make that AJ - Fury fight. most of which lies in AJ beating Pulev (his IBF mandatory), and Fury beating Wilder, and maybe even Whyte early in 2021.
you also have Usyk who newly has become the WBO mandatory opponent. Usyk and Whyte should fight eachother and make it more simpler for everyone, but boxing rarely does what "makes sense"
