If you haven't been recently, hotels in Nashville (especially downtown) are way overpriced. Just be prepared if you want to stay downtown.

This. The AirBnB I got came out to like $190 per night after the fees and everything which is fine with me, especially for the location. We can walk to the venue if needed. Most hotels I saw were way over $200.

Glad people are getting good deals on flights with points. Really sucks to hear about the overpriced hotels. Relieved I will not be getting price gouged.

I am a bit surprised rates are not lower because I'd imagine they'd want to compete with Airbnb. The same with cabs, since their monopoly is over.

One of the smaller venues and seems to be a lot of people's choice for destination. Chicago is a tad bit closer for me, but have heard horror stories about the venue, so Nashville will be my choice.

The lawn is a good size but it's also one of the smallest venues you'll go into. I saw Phish there during fall tour and it was a great venue. No bad seat.

There's a very strict curfew here, as well as a decibel limit (probably not noticeable for an acoustic show like this) and a smoking ban. Literally no smoking of any kind anywhere inside the venue, and from what I've heard, they're very strict about it. So something to keep in mind.
I'm not doubting you on the smoking ban but when I saw Phish there people were definitely smoking where they pleased. I stood on the back wall and a guy next to me chain smoked and danced the entire evening. Security walked by at least 10 times. During set break I walked down to the side facing the river and hung out there with some people. Every one of them was smoking with no harassment.

I second this. Every time we would go we would stay outside of town (like Brentwood or somewhere like 15 miles out from Downtown). Now, we have friends that live in Franklin that we'd stay with.

Also willing to mention, if you plan on taking an Uber after the show I'd leave early. When I saw the Stones in Nashville I had a 4.2x surge charge to get me 10 minutes down the road. Granted, that was literally a football stadium full of people compared to 8-10K people. But it is the weekend in Nashville's busiest area.

As for parking, there's several lots surrounding the place, but it's WAY cheaper (I think it was $5) to park at the Titans stadium, cross the bridge (about 10-15 min walk - very scenic) and easy to get out of after the show.

Venue size, has a history of instant sellouts, small tour, high demand, etc.

Got the Hyatt Place that was mentioned with points. I am hoping that people will just go to the other venues and tix won't be impossible to get. Don't really want lawn however not going to be upset if that is the only option. I am sure the WH will decline me like normal.

I've never been one to pay a lot for hotels, and I don't mind driving.

    If there's a Super 8 9 miles away that costs 60.00 a night, I'll stay there. I don't need anything fancy

Do people think lawn will sell out asap? Also quick question (Sorry if its stupid)... With warehouse if your request seats and get denied will they automatically just give you lawn and you are forced to purchase them???

Airbnb folks, it's way better then getting a hotel. Being from Memphis, I have several buddies living there now so don't have to fork up the money for a place to lay the head

The sound system at ascend is good even in the lawn. I didn't see anyone reprimanded for smoking at phish or umphreys. As someone said though I do think curfew is pretty strict at 11 unless weather and they can play later. Also the possibility of emmylou or Jeff joining for a song or two would be fun...both are locals. The group Jeff was playing with after phish at acme feed and seed was a blast. He just guested with lettuce the other night when they came through town. Also not sure if bela will be on tour with Abigail at that time but always a possibility if he's in town. Good luck to everyone putting in for tix, I agree with what others have said this will be one of higher demand shows. Chicago theatre would have trumped this but northerly may cause indy/lville/cincy/Columbus people to head to Nash for a two day run instead of Chicago.

I'd say nearly immediately. And with only 2,300 seats, if you want to go to the show, you better accept lawn as a great possibility.

I just moved to Nashville ten days ago, literally. And my condo is like one mile from Ascend, so pumped about these shows.

There will be a new bar opening in my complex in March, any interest in me exploring a courtyard/bar pre-party on one of the nights for Ants?

    What's up Nashville!?!

Super pumped to see this happen. Was planning on the Chicago stops because I'm only 3 hours away as opposed to the 8 for Nashville, but Nashville is a city I have always wanted to check out and this is a good excuse to avoid Northerly Island. Couple that with the fact that the 6th is my birthday, no brainer on this.

Venue looks nice, but small. Hoping I can get in on tickets. Not opposed to sitting lawn one of the nights. I'm reading the lawn isn't bad for sound, but it's more of a comfort thing for me. Also not having to worry about getting a seat

Look forward to any pre show ants meet ups that are organized!

We're staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at the border of the Vanderbilt campus, not too far of a drive downtown. Very stoked for this and how small it is!
