oh this is darien lake. get shitfaced before u go in darien lake. this is in my backyard i travel to many other shows during the year but by far this one blows my mind. that lot will be going right at noon and half the people wont make it in. altho they end up playing a damn great show every year. terrible venue. awsome pregame

The dirt lot above the venue is one of the biggest shit shows I've ever seen. Every third step is broken glass or vomit.

I normally go to Star Lake but will be out of town. Would someone let me know about Darien Lake. Is it best to camp or stay at a hotel. Is it as much fun as Star Lake?

I dunno about hotels or camping... its kinda in the middle of nowhere. The venue and crowd are typically young, immature, and bad... but the shows are usually very good.

Allow a good 3 hours after the show to get out of traffic, and watch your tires because there will be broken glass everywhere.

The traffic can be really bad. Just park near an exit, because they will guide you in crazy places, almost right next to the gate. The lot is a shit show and he is right alot of very young kids that are way to drunk. Not many fan fans, but its how buffalko does things, a drunk shitshow. it will be a tight show and dave will be chiefing just like in 05. oh yes we heard u choke on ur love

. Darien gets some good shows, but the venue sucks. I love the pregame though. I hope my warehouse membership breaks into the 200s this year. Always like 3rd and 4th row 300s.

for anyone looking for hotels, i suggest the ramada limited, its right off the exit you get off of (48?) and....well, yea, just trust me on this one. after the show, i'd stay awake and hang outside the parking lot...

Yes the only hotel besides the darien lake hotel is the one right off the exit 48 on the I90. The lot isnt that bad just park near an exit and get ur friends to get out pick up one of those cones and go right through that shit. Every year we always just push our way outa the lot in about 45. You can even do it in like 20 if u dont stay to watch the 20 minute Two Step encore with a 5 minute butch solo/scat. The lot will be litered though with glass

although the venue is awful, the shows are usually decent. SPAC is always one to out-do darien but its a treat to have DMB so close and to share a great band with all of your friends.
This years line-up: Darien, Toronto, SPAC 1 and 2, Hershey, and Tampa

Because Darien is an amusement park I think it brings out the young morons looking to get wasted. I've been there for three shows and I haven't seen anything too bad. Getting out afterward can be a wait but try tailgating for a while!
