It just nice to get stop in the twin cities! We get passed over so many time because we don't have an outdoor venue, sounds like in a year or two there will be one in Shakopee so maybe that will help down the roard.

I’m toying with hitting this show, I’ll be in Iowa for a gig, but I just don’t know if I’ll get off in time for the drive over- so I didn’t request. I’m also considering it because I’m hitting United Center and we all know that could be disastrous

Is this the one they want to put on the canterbury property?

Anyone ever here WTF is going on with the plans for First Ave to build an outdoor venue on that island? I feel like I heard about it 5 years ago and never again since.....shame!

I'm pretty sure the Shakopee venue has been approved, looks amazing and hopefully means we'll be on the DMB summer schedule going forward!

I vaguely remember the planned venue on the river, I feel like that fell through at some point, thinking North Minneapolis was not the most desirable spot!

Oh damn....I had never seen the concept sketches until now. Certainly looks impressive. 19K is pretty big. Id love more lawn/GA seating than fixed chairs, but i suppose from a ticket revenue standpoint that isnt what ownership would want. Does First Ave have a hand in this project?

Sad about the death of the island venue.....I feel like that could have been tits.

Looks like it's being developed by Swervo Development, this article mentions they were the ones who restored the Armory, which is great news because I think that's an awesome venue!

I wonder when this thing will actually be done and ready to host shows? And I wonder if DMB will still be touring at that point? In any event, we definitely need a capable outdoor venue.

the upper harbor terminal project along the northeast riverfront that first avenue is involved with is definitely happening, they even just had a demolition of one of the large domes on the site just a few weeks ago. there was a lawsuit filed last year that slowed things, but that was dismissed over the summer. i don't think there's a definitive timeline on completion, but it is for sure underway. venue will be anywhere from 7-10k (with 9k seemingly a popular number) and will be set up to be able to run shows all year.

definitely excited about the canterbury venue, too, but not the drives out there. and the idea of a 'lawn' on a raised surface you have to walk /up/ to from the plaza area just seems odd.

Agreed on the thoughts about the Shakopee spot, altho as a Southern MN resident, I guess I should be grateful this isnt on the North side of town!

Nothing great available in the Citi presale that I could find and I monitored it for an hour or two.

There were definitely some decent seats including floor reserved towards the back, but just nothing good enough worth jumping on for me this early in the game. I guess I feel somewhat confident i'll be able to lock in GA Floor or really good seats much closer to day of show. We'll see...

I've had WH tickets for I think every MSP show they have played here since 2005 or so and my WH tickets are always pretty decent because there it's not a high demand show. Always had lowers and often lowers near the stage. I have floor seats for the upcoming show, so we'll see where they end up.

Floor 2 row 6 (2002 member), I'm happy with that. Not sure what the "Continental" section is in front of the floor sections, but I hope it's not too many rows. In any case, solid seats for not being premium.
