I don't really dip.

Only sauces I use are ketchup and bbq sauce.

All the action and awesome special effects can not make up for such a horrible story.

The 2nd one is one of the most retarded things i've ever seen with a budget that size. I was shocked and had a hard time believing what i was seeing. I couldn't believe it.

I'm not dogging the effects, they are very impressive. Its most impressive that all the CGI holds up really well on blu-ray. Normally with heavy CG it doesn't translate very well when it goes from the big screen to your home, but those films do pull it off.

-Sam dies and goes to...autobot heaven?

-the racially offensive mudflaps and skids

-the pacing is absolutely dreadful (Megan Fox from across the country, gets off the phone with Sam while he's walking home from class, by the time he returns to his dorm...she's there???)

-the autobot that farts out a parachute

-After seeing all that he's seen and having all the knowledge of the first film the military/cia/government...fires John Turturro's character and he works at a pizza place is it?

-we could either A) ride in Bumblebee across the desert or B) hold hands and run hoping we don't get essploded

-"I'm behind the enemy scrotum, sir"

-Aside from holding Sam's hand and running away from explosions looking scared...the female characters are absolutely misogynistic and serve no purpose in the latter 2 films

-the little robot humping Megan Fox's leg

    That's just a few

    that's pretty inclusive

i guess i see movies in 1 of 2 ways

    1. Attemtping to look/be realistic....in which case, things like that DEFINITELY bother me...if you want to present as being realistic, then be realistic

    2. acknowledging from the get go, "this is fantasy, in now way are we portraying this as being realistic in any way, shape, or form"

for the 2nd category, the stupid or out of place stuff doesn't bother me so much....like having alien robots as the main characters kind of screams to me that "realism" is thrown out the window

Yes, but I at least expect #2 to be competently made. You're giving an awful amount of leeway to #2 with that conceit.

Also, the way the transformers films are presented and touted as if their shit don't stink and they are sold as 'serious' robot-fantasy blockbusters.

For the most part, i don't like their pacing, the humor isn't funny at all and the characters are extremely shallow. Yes, the effects are impressive and there's a lot of action. But I find myself offended by what's going on and not remotely caring about any of the stakes set during the action sequences.

Look at The Avengers. That's big budget, action spectacle, fantastical, summer popcorn-movie blockbuster filmmaking at its finest. I can shut the brain off and enjoy and it even allows me to do a little thinking. The characters are 3 dimensional, the women are respected and written VERY well, the humor is trying to hard and is actually funny, and at the end of the day I care that everybody makes it through all the devastation at the end.

    Not some dude,

I love the first two movies. The third one made me never want to see any new ones after it.

The first two had great stories and development. The Last Stand had a premise i couldn't get behind. A drug that cures mutants? I didn't like the idea that mutants we love would wasn't to be normal.

    I am Some Dude,

9's I'll give full take tomorrow. Michael, the cure for mutants is a storyline told time and time again in the comics, so going to the source, it is true of the characters.

There is no place in Indy with epic wings. Fat fans deli is close with their smoked wings. But for me, the city's best wings are smoked in my back yard
