Yes, every micro event ever that took place over the known universes 14 billion years of existence happened in it's exact order and magnitude to eventually lead up to a moment in your life to happen for some specific reason.

More so you just lack a certain trait or skill set and said "special event" affords you the chance to possibly learn and grow i.e. A dependent/hesitant man's mother passes away, thus waking up and realizing certain actions he needs to take to better his life. Therefor his moms' death happened "for a reason", to help him grow as a human.

I cant stand when Im eating dinner with someone who is shitty to the waitstaff. My one friend is constantly a dick and it pisses me off. Our group always calls him out on it too.

I will admit, Ive had some shitty service while with him, but its like he invites it or is destined to get bad service because he is always a dick no matter if the service was good or bad.

Hell, even if service is bad, im not an asshole about it, I just leave a worse tip.

I heard a CEO tell a story about how when interviewin executives, on about the third interview he'd invite them to lunch. He'd arrive early and instruct the waiter to mess up their order, but promised a good tip as he'd be paying. Then, he'd observe how the prospective executive handled the situation and said it was very telling into the type of character the person possessed.

In some other business book I read it discussed in similar fashion how you could learn more about a business partner in one lunch, or one round of golf, than in 10 business meetings. He went on to dissect the meal or golf and how a person acts at each reflects on who they really are.

Yea, that rant was kinda based on some dude I was around on our last trip (friend of a friend.) We were at this brewery before a show and there was like 2 servers for the whole place and they were CLEARLY weeded as fuck. He's waving menus in the air trying to get their attention and shit, then going up to the bartender who is also weeded as fuck and asking him to get him stuff. Then he gets a manager involved. I was so fucking embarrassed by and annoyed with him.

Truly the only time I get irritated with wait staff is if I sit down and noone comes over to the table for 10 mins.

Some people cant see they arent the center of attention and that these people are super busy.

First of all its rude to act that way and there is no need for it. Like you said just leave a bad tip.

Secondly never be an ass hole to someone serving your food. They can mess with your food if your not careful. I once had a teacher who used to work at dominos and some lady was being a bitch and he put some dirt off of the floor on top of her pizza

If they're walking by... sure, grab em. If they're busy doing all kinds of other shit and waiting on other people. Calm down... they'll check in. Pretty rare that they are just standing in the corner doing nothing waiting for you to waive at them.

Absolutely. I mean, it's harmless and it's pretty routine when dining out. I worked at restaurants for many years and had no problem when someone flagged me down. If anything, I felt bad because I hadn't checked in with them frequently enough, because the last thing I ever wanted to do was be the super-chipper waiter type guy who tries to be best friends with the customers.

Yeah, if Im mid meal and need a drink re-fill or something, and I havent seen my waiter since the food got there, im going to politely put my hand up to try to grab someones attention that is walking by if its been a decent amount of time. I dont think thats rude at all.
