Rashawn doesn’t bring much live.

He may have a knack for building parts together to make a song but that’s about it. The horn part has regressed under his watch. I’ve come around on Jeff, and yet he has no time to really shine. Sad considering dmb should be sax first

Absolutely agree. I enjoy rashawn on some songs (spaceman, break free, so right) and did enjoy what he brought in 06 ( it was new and exciting) but that's about it. Jeff should be leading the horn section and be primarily featured. I know hes the musical conductor and I'm not sure what he has writing credits on, but I know jeff has writing credits on b&bb so I'd take more of that.

This thread is terrible. This isn’t a critique, it’s a general shaming of someone who has most likely been vital to the longevity of the band. I’m sorry you don’t like Rashawn, and sure you might not like everything he does, but saying he needs to be me-too’ed and that Dave needs to “slap him upside the head” and that he’s sucked since day one... it’s just sad. Get over yourselves. This whole thread is an excuse to bash on someone whom a specific few don’t like and the whole thing just makes me think less and less of this community. Y’all are a serious mark on those who enjoy having a decent discussion on the trajectory of the band.

This community (at least some who are very vocal) is awfully sad sometimes. Carter is apparently the only untouchable these days, but now he is a geezer barely able to huff his way through some of the longer songs in the catalog.

‘Shaming’. Kids these days are so sensitive. When I grew up, we were paddled by older kids for being freshman, told we were gay slurs, on and on it goes. Literally been told to kill myself over the internet at least 500 times on Xbox live

Also I'm not a kid, I just enjoy constructive criticism. Saying someone needs to accuse Rashawn of sexual assault just so y'all can preserve an interation of the band that hasn't existed in over a decade is just sorry backwater internet talk, and trying to use the "kids these days" argument to justify it? I can’t stand the trumpet in dmb. Particularly don’t like his playing style at all. It’s always over the top. He goes for “I can play notes really fast and loud” way too often. Still tho, I prefer sax to trumpet. Even tho his solos on something like crush or PM are good, I would much rather see Jeff solo on that. Also I’m just sick of the canned horns. Would much rather see Jeff on that side of the stage by himself.

I find it humorous that you think a professional musician who makes millions of dollars would ever care what a bunch of losers say on an online forum. Rashawn knows he’s good, and he knows he’s doing something none of us can do. When you’re in that position, you don’t care what online trolls say. You hardly care what anyone says when you’re really good at something.

I guarantee you’re more offended by this than Rashawn would ever be.

Rashawn has made it so that you can't comment on his Instagram posts. He cares at least enough. Jeff will also chime in on a negative post in the DMB family page every now and then.

I'm not trying to advocate for a bash Rashawn party with everything you got, but to be so dramatic over these comments and act like they have any effect is funny. The one exception being the accusation thing.. that's just insane to suggest that.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ross has to be one of the luckiest guys on earth Leroi liked him and then his place was cemented when Leroi left us. He’s one of the worst things to ever happen to this band. He has no business being in the band in his elevated roll. Ditch Ross, give us more Coffin.
