Looked to me like they were on a clock, they were almost laughing running through Grey Street. Also played on a 6-string.

I mean, they were definitely on a clock but that has nothing to do with the quality of the performance. They were laughing during Grey St because Dave fucked it up. They fucked every song up in some capacity. It was a mailed in performance, Dave's voice sounded like crap, and Tim was awful.

It seemed like Dave was forcing himself to be loud and that fd his voice

These benefit shows are great for the organizations and causes they support. That being said, they generally aren't great for performances, well, at least from our guys.

So based on the back read it sounds like Dave didn't have the best of nights again.

He started off pretty shaky, by the end of DDTW was starting to sing better, continued to get better through the rest of the set. Mix was awful, Tim's solos were awful, people here will always complain about setlists.

I think we can all agree that G Easy is unlistenable.

Couldn't agree with you more. It actually hurt me, physically, listening.

But honestly the backread of this was so not what I was expecting this am having watched it live last night. I thought DDTW was a thousand times stronger than the performance we saw at Farm Aid, and despite a couple pitchy notes I thought they sounded great. Samurai Cop was very solid. I did notice the off-timing in Grey Street that made them crack up mid performance, though. Otherwise, it left me wanting more. Was hoping to hear "Do You Remember" and see if it grew or changed at all. Either way, looking forward to what 2018 has to bring.

I'll never understand the complaining about setlists for events like this. They weren't playing to their fan base and still ..

    DDTW - Good song
    Warehouse - Good song
    Satellite - Good song
    Y&M - Meh
    Samurai Cop - Good song
    Bartender - Good song
    Space Between - Good song
    Grey Street - Good song

    How dare they!!

Agreed. Even Y&M sounded decent and is a generally popular song for these types of events. I don't think they sounded their best, but the songs were appropriate for a short festival type set.

What I did find weird is that most of the "bigger" songs were the ones that I didn't think sounded great, besides Grey Street which was good.

I thought Y&M, Sam Cop, and Grey Street sounded the best while DDTW, Warehouse, and Bartender just didn't sound right.

    Oh well.
