Re: The Harry Potter thread.

I like Gambon better than Harris but neither is really how I imagined Dumbledore in the books

Who gives a shit if the direction encouraged him to overreact in Goblet of Fire? Dumb throw away scene and people just keep repeating it? I went down a rabbit hole sorry.

He is awesome, and his voice is synonymous with Dumbledore anytime I see him in a movie.

    Fight me.

I just can't picture Harris in the duel vs. Voldemort in Order of the Phoenix or in the cave scene in Half Blood Prince. Too frail.

In the middle of Deathly Hallows. Pretty rough. i don't even remember reading any of this the first time around, but I guess that was nearly 13 years ago.

    Preferred Harris over Gambon.

Finally finished the series for the second time. This whole time I thought Hagrid died going from the Dursley's to the Burrow. Some other things I thought happened that really didn't. Weird. Deathly Hallows was pretty rough to get thru up until they went to Gringotts.

Order of the Phoenix is still my favorite book. 3 and 7 are probably my least favorites.

I've been reading these books to my daughter for a while now and she loves them. We're nearly halfway through Order of the Phoenix. This is my first time reading the books.

I can separate my feelings about JK Rowling and how I feel about the HP world. I personally dont give a fuck what she's said since, and it will never diminish my love for the HP series.

I can agree with this. I will not buy anything first hand ever again though, so my dvd collection comes from second hand ebay shopping.

Yeah, I think that is going to be really good. Dan, Emma, and Rupert have really separated themselves from that universe so it will cool to see them involved.

Yea, I should clarify the production is really fun, and having the Lee Jordan actor a part of the show to announce the score is neat. Yup, that's Helen Mirren.

It's fun, but the questions are stupid easy, and the contestants being forced to talk out their answers is painful to watch. The scoring is weird and dumb, too. I also hate that the questions are movie-based. I only did watch the first episode, though. Maybe it gets better.

It's been entertaining enough. A few questions that stump me here and there, the production value/resemblance of the movies is good... it's a painless pleasure.

JK Rowling is a transphobic cunt, but the stars of the original movie are coming back after 20 years to discuss how much their ignoring JK Rowling being a transphobic cunt.
