The McCain thing is a personal vendetta, not hating vets. Same with the Gold Star family. You never know whats in persons heart, but I doubt he’d have such solid support within the military if he actively hated them or put them in bad situations, which us the most important thing.

The majority of vets I know don’t support him.

He lost a few guys I know who were also POWs in Nam after the McCain comments

And saying “I like people that weren’t captured” how is that a personal vendetta against McCain? Sounds more like a vendetta against...POWs

But 58 percent of female veterans disapproved of Trump, which is similar to the share of women overall (61 percent).

Some takeaways on veterans:

this clearly shows that he completely understands that Memorial Day is not celebrated in Japan, but he's attempting to transcend cultural events, such as this particular holiday, to memorialize all soldiers killed in every war, ever. He's saying thank you to all the Japanese soldiers who lost their lives, nd that "Memorial Day" isn't just American, it's global. For that, I salute him
