Ya, it's just so weird how the quality is so different all 3 nights! Shouldn't the process be locked in by now? Especially for the same weekend of shows? You'd think there would be a level of consistency whether good or bad.

I know that's right. I have another observation that recently came to my attention. I've been going back and listing to some of the 2019 Sirius broadcast shows and they sounds great. Way better than a lot of the 2022 and 2023 shows. It seems as though the quality has regressed.

None of the broadcasts (other than shows that had been previously officially released) sound as good as those Nugs shows but the 2019 shows come a lot closer. Have you noticed this?

Absolutely. The 2019 shows were consistently good quality. 22/23 were all over the place. 23 had more really bad sounding shows overall though. I pretty much just gave up on checking them out unless someone specifically pointed it out as amazing.

I don't think other bands suffer from this issue with live streaming, so not sure why it's so difficult for the XM or DMB crew to get it dialed in.

And yes, the nugs releases might as well be official releases.

There a fantastic Tim solo on graves. I for one have enjoyed his solos on graves, taking over Boyd’s role.

I feel that Tim is sounding even better the last couple of years than he ever has with DMB. Graves and Nancies especially have been so good because of Tim.

I wouldn't say "better than ever", but he is contributing more creative approaches in those spaces he's filling for the fiddle. Jazzy/fusion stuff, not just straight rock.

I don't want to be too big a negative nancy, but he's covering up a lot of mistakes there. There's a lot of things he's gliding over and covering up. And it's still nowhere near where he was at in 2008 or 98. Not saying a dude in his late 60's is going to be on par with what he was in his 30's but there's definitely some slop in that solo.

I love what Tim adds, i just wish on a few songs he would trade the electric for an acoustic. Overall though, i love hearing his fills and solos.
