anyone know of a cheap hotel/motel near the venue? really don't want to drive back to boston after the show and then down to Hartford the next day

Pit at mansfield is pretty good i had no problem with the two times ive been in pit. Getting pits is tricky... Mansfield in general gets no hype on this page, but they typically get excellent sets. forget 2016, but 12, 13, 14, 15 were excellent shows! Also if i remember correctly it was the first show to totally sell out in 2016.

cons of mansfield: parking. wow the public lots take forever to get out of!

Parking sucks at this venue, you are better off getting the VIP pass for parking. I went to show once, not DMB, and they started parking cars in the aisles... THE FUCKING AISLES!

Traffic blows getting in and out.... Great Woods use to be dope, but then the town stopped letting bands do multiple nights and they started to limit weekend shows... once they took out half the lawn and filled it with bleachers that took away from it too, although most amphitheater’s did that in the early 2000s... use to be a great venue, now it’s just “eh”

I couldn't believe how terrible this was...my girlfriend had too much to drink at the show in 2016. She had to vom out the car door and could almost barely open it because so many cars were clustered around us. I've rarely felt claustrophobic...definitely felt it from how crunched in everyone was trying to get out.

It really is terrible.

I've never immediately gotten in line to get out. Its not worth it. Usually hang out after the show, have a sandwich, watch the lost drunks stumble around. Its usually way better than sitting in a car going nowhere for 2 hours.

your will not even put your car in drive until an hour+ after the show if you go public parking. Private parking for $60+ could not be more worth it if you see it, I know there's a lot directly off of the highway, may be a little bit of a walk but you'll get home an hour and a half earlier if you do it.

Got the seats I wanted out in the open air seating. I like it out there.

Congrats on the pits. I was surprised to see quite a few pit tickets on the LN app this morning.

Same for me... usually it’s the other way around; stuck with nose bleeds but good parking... I imagine people sell the premier parking passes, just havent had the need to search...

Ticketmaster was bogus this year. I can't tell you how many pairs I claimed where the system would say someone beat me to it. Also, their system kept telling me I had pits and then in the final screen it showed Sec 14. Uhm no. Anyways, no tickets yet but I bought premier parking because as someone else stated it is a necessity and it WILL sell out.

Heard a lot of this going on this year (more so than years past). I really hope a change comes to the ticketing industry, but you know it never will.

Sound will be good. See entire stage? Not usually. You won't see whoever is off to that corner (usually Boyd I think and Butch if he's back?) Sometimes the speaker stacks get in the way. I stay away from the far edges of section 1 & 3.

If you have the chance/ability to get closer to the center, I highly recommend it. It won't be terrible there, but obviously more centered is better.
