Got a VR headset? I finally got around to finishing my 2018 immersive concert videos
With summer tour being cancelled and quarantine keeping me indoors for the most part, I finally got around to editing some VR180 videos that I captured at Northerly Island. So while we can't be in the pit this summer, if you have a VR headset, you can stand in your living room and pretend or a little bit, if you're so inclined! If not, you can still watch on a phone or browser, but the video quality isn't great - the selling point is the immersive experience.

The audio is a 75/25 mix of Crumbo's source and the audio from the camera to give a sense of presence. Enjoy, and let me know what you think in the comments here or in YouTube.

    I sat here and watched the Warehouse video thinking "not sure what the big deal is? Just looks like they took video."

    Didn't realize you could move the view around. I'm smrt.

    No worries! Yeah, it's really best in an Oculus Rift or similar headset. The 3D effect along with the ability to look 180° is what makes the videos worth sharing, otherwise the resolution isn't really there. But for those that can experience it, I hope it's enjoyable!
