def heard the drum head was blown...wasn't sure what it was at first but it was very obvious. we were in pit center back and otherwise the sound was spectacular. also everyone was hitting our Js...everyone seemed cool around us. back of the pit is where its at. this set had a bad flow too it, a very Mehhhh feeling after I left.

Was I the only one thrown by the beginning of FTT? I don't know if it was the mix or them playing it slightly different (I couldn't hear the guitar riff at all at first...plus isn't it an electric on the album?) but it took me a good 10 seconds to realize wtf they were playing.

I was halfway down the stairs for a piss/beer break and it clicked 10 seconds in that it was FTT, and I hauled ass back to my seat.

As someone who has Tampa as my home concert, I have to say, the fact they honored their set list and played 2h and 50 min of music without cutting it short due to curfew (as it has happened many times before) did it for me. If I wanted the “perfect flow” I’d create a playlist for whatever mood I’m in. This is DMB. Some talk as if Dave was a master of set list flow and this one was a point off the curve. He scores sometimes and sometimes he fails in that department. Part of a live act and set list variety. They could be like the European acts and repeat set lists over and over again throughout a tour.
Tampa crowd can be tricky. Some people seem to go to the gig as a social thing (cite here social media post of choice and annoying chitchats within ear shot). So the seat location can make it or break it if you can’t isolate yourself and immerse yourself in the experience. My seat location had people singing and dancing all night. Pocahontas and her sister sang all the songs! West Palm is a much more “in tune” audience. If you don’t like the Tampa crowd, you have the choice...
Kudos to Dave and Band for playing the whole planned set. Looking forward to Tampa 2019.

It’s not the bar for you. I accept that.
As I said “...it did it for me.” Tampa is known for having sets cut short.
It was refreshing to see a set be carried through the curfew for a change. Despite the questionable choice of songs for a lot of us.

Yuuuuge show for Tampa. It had the biggest audience...EVER. Best venue out there. No song tariffs for them...this year. Lots of women dancing next to you. All you can grab buffet, guys. No Crash Into Me this year though. Love that song. The best message. Can’t Stop was played though. #1.

Tampa 16 was one of the better shows I had seen in a long while, but unfortunately '18 was one of the poorer shows I've seen. Unfortunately it's the end of the tour for me, as Pearl Jam gets cranked up in two less than two weeks. Good news is that I was able to score a poster on the Warehouse yesterday. The person I was with got the one off the wall. It was the second time this has happened to me.
