I’ll reluctantly help out a Syracuse fan....

Ballsfest is 10000% worth it and yes everyone walks to the venue (or hops in the back of a van )

Also - post show head downtown. Good bar scene, good late night eats, always hoppin.

In terms of where to stay - CrushLive or someone may be able to help as I’ve never stayed anywhere but with a friend

So we've driven the last 2 years - it's 9 hours from us, we drive through Canada and make it to Rochester (leaving work early at 3/4, get to Rochester to stay the night, then make the rest of the trip the next morning)

Thinking of flying into Albany instead and renting a car.

Sean thoughts?

I don't need to be concerned with the safety record right??

Flight I'm eyeing gets in at noon on Thursday - flying from Detroit and connecting through Baltimore (Southwest, of course...)

I'm going to need a nap and not sure the Inn is cool with early check-ins.

Southwest you’ll be fine. I’d do it in a heartbeat but it’s probably more expensive than driving.

Southwest was amazing when I lived in Chicago and MDW was my "home" airport... now that DTW is "home", it sucks

I have yet to make it out to a bar post show.

We did have killer pulled pork sandwhiches and beers at the hotel afterwards though.

Staying downtown this year would love recs (once we get closer) on which bars to hit after.

Seems like it always takes forever to get out of there and by the time we do everyone is always done. We're old.

Yeah all of our status and miles are with America, United, Southwest.

Now have to switch over to Spirit and Delta out of DTW. End of an era for us!!

I am expecting a full on shit show and not to be holding on to extras like last year (which I did reach out to you about but you were full too lol)

I literally changed a flight to make sure I was not in the air during the onsale, although getting anything in the public onsale is a miracle in itself (I have gotten lucky for SPAC twice now on the onsale though, so I decided it was worth a shot)

Dunno yet. I got accepted into the FAA for air traffic control, once that starts the academy is down in Oklahoma City for 4ish months and then after that I go wherever they place me. I’m hoping for somewhere in Colorado but dunno yet.
