Gorge tapes are up, Bend is on the way from Noam. I'll see if he can track it and drop it on Google Drive for me today so I can toss it on Dreaming Tree.

All good... I didn't actually backread this thread very much.

Like I said, I'd go to one of these shows regardless. And I think it's admirable what they're doing... I just wondered if there should be an 'opt out'.

It'll be here. We're over 2200 recordings tracked, and I've got every single one of them on a gig pipe so at the very least everything will be seeded, always.

I agree. I would much prefer a stripped down show as opposed to no show myself though with the prices of these tickets vs the band actually onstage an opt out doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

I mean as a direct download I don't use the torrents on my phone.

Re: What the hell is an "Alternate Format?"

I wonder if any of the folks that might be complaining would have bought tickets to just Dave solo, D&T, and/or D&F?

It seems a safe bet that most of them would have. Similarly, sets that were amalgams of the songs they played at the three Gorge shows would probably have been cool for a lot of folks too.

The only aspect that I can't imagine most fans being okay with is likely the idea of a DMB minus the rhythm section show. That said, I'd actually like to hear more of that in this situation and less of Buddy on drums.

The ideal to me is a tour where the lineup is fluid throughout the night, but WITH Carter & Fonz...especially if they went all acoustic or even like moe. is doing w/ their moe.stly acoustic tour. And NO fucking covers, of course.

Look. I thought the Gorge was fantastic. It’s not like CB and SL were healthy scratches. They were out. What we saw was so much fun.

I will say even though I had a very good time last night in Bend, I didn’t hear anything I didn’t already see at the Gorge. I got excited for different things and that’s on me. The boys needed a straight forward show and I’m not gonna be someone that shits on them for it.

Last night would have been no different if it were still full band. Week day shows are what you get.

What the hell is an "Alternate Format?"

End of the Alt format tonight. But riddle me this—only been 7 days since positive test was disclosed at The Gorge. How can they both be back prior to the 10 day isolation protocol …? Did they know BEFORE N1 at the Gorge and withhold until 3hours prior?

There’s more to it than just 10 days of isolation

-After day 7 after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later

Re: What the hell is an "Alternate Format?"

What you’re referencing though in your quote from the CDC is regarding “Quarantine”, which is when you’re suspected to have been exposed, not “Isolation” , which is 10 days with a positive test.

So the “after day 7 after receiving a negative test (test must occur on day 5 or later)” isn’t relevant here with a positive test on Friday 9/3.

    I see.

Look, I wouldn’t put it past them to have withheld the positive tests until the day of the Gorge. It looked really suspicious too when Boyd left the band right after the 2018 warehouse request window ended, and the night before the “night before” show.

Railbird was on Sunday 8/29, it is possible they tested positive after that show. That would of gave them the 10 days. It is also possible that they tested positive upon arriving to the Gorge mid week of the shows. They could of tested positive with a rapid test Wed 9/1 or Thurs 9/2 but waited for PCR confirmation. Rapid tests are not always right. Could they have known before they announced it? Yes very possible

    Agreed.

MMJ's camp had issues with Covid after Railbird, so DMB maybe got it there. Just speculation.
