100% agree. Terrible sound. Some of the instruments are almost inaudible and the only reason you can hear them is because they were picked up by near by mics. Dave is kinda drunk the entire show. It has some good moments for sure, but nowhere near a top 20 release for me.

Yeah really, I love all eras of the band, and I’m all for 3.0, but 93-97 is the mystical “core” dmb that we all speak of. That’s where the real magic lies

How is this one compared to 44 as far as the bands sound? I re listened to the first disk of 44 and the sound of the band is just ok. 2016 I felt was the worst the band ever sounded. Hopping this 2013 show is much better.

To say 95-97 is bad or overrated is beyond ridiculous. Could really use more sbd shows from those years because some of the tapes are not the great quality.

It's just with DMBlive being pretty much EXCLUSIVELY 92-97 DMB, I have no desire to see any shows from that time released ever again... 1995 and 1996 especially, those sets were the same thing over and over again. Why would we need another 1995 show with the same 12 songs released for the 6th time?

Both shows had cool guests, so I guess that makes them different. But there is no need what so ever to release that Jones Beach show. Put those cool tracks on a Warehouse disc instead.

I agree with 95/96, those are the two years with the most released tracks. But 1997 is completely false. It’s actually the year with the least amount of DMB tracks released, and it happens to be one the bands best years. We need more 1997.

This is pretty much me. 90's DMB was better music than later DMB, without question, but as far as what drives me to purchase a live album at this point, it's getting something that is unique to my DMB collection. I'd take 1997 over 2013, but I'd take 2013 over 1995 or 1996 for that reason. Unless it was a 1995-1996 show that had a unique guest or something else that really made it stand out.

I have always said I just want shows from 98-present released...if 97 is so great I'll retract that to 97-present. 92-96 I never need to buy another show from that period ever again. It's just too redundant for me at least.

Yeah, I organize my DMB files by year and I get excited when they release a track from a specific year we don’t have yet. That’s the main thing that drives my live release desires.

To piggyback on what many others have said, this sounds fantastic! Mix sounds great (I'm halfway through Crush now). Dave overall sounds really good, and maybe I'm hearing things but the few voice cracks he's had, it seems like they were turned down a bit in the mix. I could be making that up but first listen, seemed it to me. Anyone on the fence, this is as good as DMB 3.0 gets and the release sounds outstanding.

I really enjoyed this show. So many great moments.

I really wish the store would get with the times. I would happily buy this if you could download the files on android/iphone. I AM NOT asking for a PM before anyone says that. I think its just a legit point. I have purchased tons of albums on the site that I no longer have access to since my laptop broke last year (most recently including the Come Tomorrow preorder, i did buy the vinyl). I havent needed a computer in quite some time and i shouldnt need to buy one just to download music from musictoday.

I think they should release the gorge show from 97. I know it's almost identical in setlist to the shoreline release, but hey almost that entire tour is identical.


but, if they were definitely gonna release a show from 97 I agree with doby, it should probably be a show with a different guest(s) than the one they already released

The band (aside from Boyd) was on fire in 2013. That's probably the best tour they've had since 2008.

The jam breakdown into the outro in JTR doesn't work for me. Just noise. But the traditional outro sounds good though.
