Warehouse will be a crapshoot. If that falls through you should be able to get one right when they go on sale

They do sell out and become in demand because of all the people who don't try during the onsale or make plans later

Sounds good. We both have Citi cards and will be trying for multiple things on the 16th. Camping would be on the list if we both miss out through the WH...along with N3 pit...and blossom reserves....and burgettstown reserves....lol

Ok. First off I read through the FAQ (thank you for that BTW) and have done a little research. We are thinking about coming out from Colorado and doing a 3 day lawn pass. Primary question is that we are thinking about brining the kids (ages 10 and 13) to the show. Is that advisable or just asking for trouble? If we do bring kids is there a particular area we want to target, anything we should be aware/concerned about (besides the occasional drunken/stoned person)? Any advise here is welcome! Thanks

I'm hoping someone else can provide some input, but your kids should be fine. I think they even let kids under 10 or 12 attend free Friday and/or Saturday.

I thought there was a family camping area. Maybe someone confirm?

Otherwise you will be fine in premier....

I know shade is a must, and I know a lot of people bring pop-up tailgating tents... but have y'all ever flown with one? I know everyone says to load all the gear into suitcases and check them, but I feel like most of the these tents are longer than the suitcases (not to mention pretty heavy). If you've flown with one of these, how did you do it?

You will be fine on the lawn with your kids. I would recommend staying out of the center lawn section as it will be the most crowded. Stage left there is a section under the concessions that isn't nearly as packed. And stage right there is a terraced section where I have seen many families in the past.

    From WH ticketing guidelines:

    Kids Under 10 Free
Children 10 and under will be free in the GA Lawn area only when accompanied by an adult (one child for each ticketed adult in the party) for the FRIDAY and SUNDAY Gorge Amphitheatre shows only. Once on site with the child(ren), the adult(s) must go to the Gorge Amphitheatre box office with their Adult ticket and child(ren) to obtain their free GA Lawn voucher(s).

Thank you all for the input! Since we have one under 10 and one 13 we are going with 3x3 day lawn pass and then we will do 2xbest available on Saturday night (and can sell one if need be)! From what I understand go with Terrace camping and travel heavy (bring sun shades, chairs, etc). Very much looking forward to our first gorge experience.

    Thanks again!

is there an advantage to making your camping request (Premier) your priority selection? cause as far I know Priority helps with confirmation.

It should help; I've used my priority on Terrace every time since it started; never got it. I think Terrace and Priority has the highest demand-to-supply ratio of any shows; maybe other than SPAC

If flying seems too complicated just buy one out there and donate it. Might be cheaper than round trip baggage fees if not flying southwest

First timer for the gorge. Hoping someone can help me out with a few questions.

    1. We are looking at requesting gold. What's the big difference between gold and premier?
    2. Have a couple buddies that need to leave Sunday morning and therefore will have an extra car. Would we be allowed to leave the campsite to drop them off at their car at the park and ride?
    3. Are there any options for them to park their car some where else at the gorge?
    4. Recommendations for parking if the park and ride is full?
    5. Sounds like premier camping passes are easy to resell.
I assume same is true for gold if we have multiple WH members in our group request?

    Can't wait!

Gold was new last year and I haven't heard any feedback regarding camping in gold. Gold camping is closest to the venue. They take a portion of the parking lots and turn it in to camping for the weekend.

Park and ride will be a crapshoot as the space is very limited. Worse case you drive in together so you can all get your wristbands for gold camping and buy a general pass for the extra car and park it for the weekend in D9.

From the feedback I've gathered on Facebook, the biggest plus of Gold is proximity. It is nice and close to the venue entrance, which would be handy if there are in-and-out privileges or if you are coordinating a lot of ticket trades/purchases/sales and meeting at the box office. People also say it was a bit less of a party atmosphere, quieter at night. There are no food vendors in Gold, you have to trek into D9 to get to the food trucks (reportedly about a 10 minute walk).

People in general are saying they LOVED Gold, had a blast, met great people -- same things you hear about Premier or Terrace or even General camping. Wherever you are, you will make friends and have fun!

Does anybody know the camping prices for this year -- did some increase?

    General / Premier / Gold / Terrace

I'm putting together an at-a-glance spreadsheet.

Right? I think they realized they can't really charge the same for Terrace and Gold when Terrace offers better amenities....

If your credit card is charged, I'm assuming you're confirmed for your requests? If so, I was able to get terrace as a first-time warehouse member. I guess beginners luck? Or maybe less popular because of price increase.

The charges are temporary charges and may or may not stick. The warehouse is checking to make sure you have enough available credit for your requests. They will then assign tickets, etc in the next phase. I hope you got it though! Luck of he first timer be with you!

So, I'm sure its been posted and I apologize if this has been discussed but I was wondering if anyone has camped at Vantage? I'm actually going out and have a Cabin booked. What is the scene like? All fans I assume. How is the river? Are there things to do during the day w/ the river (I've heard jet skis, swimming etc) and how is the situation with just casual boozing around? Also the ride to the venue itself. Thanks so much everyone.

I don't know anyone that camps at Vantage personally. I have heard that it can be very windy since it is right on the river. And yes there is river access for swimming and such. The drive is about 20ish minutes and will be heavily patrolled by the Sheriff and Highway Patrol. Make sure you have a designated driver.

Re: The Gorge Q&A and FAQs

Hello Gorge 2016! Last visit was 2006 and I am sure a lot has changed. I am set up for gold camping with a tent, I am reading this might be more for the RV's?.

No. Cave B has an RV designated area, but Gold is for both tent and RV camping. The feedback from last year is that Gold is quieter than the regular camp areas, the sites are larger, and the walk to venue is minimal.
