For example, Reginald Weaver was President of the National Education Association (NEA) in Washington, D.C. – the de facto national teacher’s union. Weaver’s Illinois teacher’s pension is now $22,759 per month, or $273,108 annually...

I couldn't disagree more. Those type fringe groups are the kinds that you just absolutely ignore and stay away from on every level.

We're not talking about these morons taking over government or controlling the army.

To even suggest that "allowing" these rallies to occur will lead to what happened in Germany 60 years ago is pretty hard to take seriously.

The moment you engage with them, you legitimize them.

He's also a union lobbyist, so I'm sure he knows exactly how to get around all of the rules and our supreme court has already ruled that IL owes and cannot change its pension obligations, which means, once you're in you're in forever and there's nothing that can be legally done otherwise.

How long ago are you guys talking? When would you say the last effective one was? And what specifically made it effect vs other (in your views) non-effective "pointless" ones.

Maybe, in the hypothetical sense, sure.

But how many people that are described as "SJWs" are actually counting the injustices in movies between races and making a big deal out of it? My guess is the percentage of those being called "SJWs" and those actually acting it out to the extent described is a lot lower than the percent that are called out as Neo Nazis/White Supremacists/etc and act out the definition of those groups

This is why unions and lobbies are such a huge thing - there is so much money in it for those who game the system. It is pathetic how much money is wasted on unions who pay millions out in de facto bribes so they can get the politicians on their side via a thousand dollar an hour lobbyist.
