I always fly into SEA because that is where I meet up with my group.
I think $1K/person is the high end and can be done for much less, especially if you're o-kay with doing lawn tickets. (and fwiw the lawn at the Gorge is amazing)

There is also fairly regular service fbetween SLC and Pasco (PSC)... not sure if it's price competetive but leaves you less than 100 miles from the venue - and limited traffic on that route compared to coming from Seattle (can't speak to the flow via Spokane)...
As for 'rough' costs... really depends on your preferred(required?) level of comfort/amenities - Outside of flights/gas, you have tickets, camping/hotel, and food to cover. Lawn tickets are what, like $70ish? if you want a night or two down low maybe budget $4-500 for two sets of tickets. Camping can be cheap (no real hotels close) - $90/car in general or bump up to premier or terrace for a couple hundred more. There are food vendors about, could probably eat on $25-30/day/person..? I always bring my own food (of course I've just got a short drive to get there) but you can go cheap - PBJ/etc. all weekend - or as fancy as your camp resources allow.... so leaving out transport, I would think the cheapest 2 people could do the weekend is about $500... more comfortably (and realistically) for another couple hundred. $2k all in for 2 people, would be more than enough to have it all
