I love the gritty, defensively-responsible player he's evolved into. I'd take him on the Avs 3rd line.

Just doesn't make sense. If they were going to re-sign him, I think they'd have done it and not traded him. I understand the idea of getting some return and then him going back, but that doesn't seem to be the plan here. Didn't sound like they were having any contract talks at all.

From what I know, I think it was basically a foregone conclusion that he'd be gone next year. So you're likely correct.

it's really a bad situation.

they had to drag Peverly's body from the bench down the hall and he wasn't moving at all.

Sounds almost exactly what happened to Jiri Fischer 8 years ago. Collapsed behind the bench, game stopped. Then after a while said the game would be rescheduled. All the players, Preds and Wings didn't feel right still playing. I remember the amount of care from both teams. Gained a lot of respect for Trotz and Preds that night.

Scary shit. Got an update on my phone saying game was delayed and everyone was off ice. As cynical as this May or may not sound I am glad it wasn't something that happened on ice. Wish Pev all the best and a speedy and great recovery

Avs analyst Mark Rycroft made a good point... Thank goodness Peverley was at the rink when it happened instead of at home or driving or something. That quick access to medical care and equipment of course made the difference. What a bad ass... Hoping for a successful recovery.

Quick pop in before I leave for work. Just finished isles game. Maybe the rewarding game of the year. Work 11 hours yesterday and get up early to finish watching the game before work.

7 goals in the 3rd period....whatttt!!! Suck it torts . Man that was an awesome 3rd period. Best part was my opponent this week in a key fantasy matchup had Lack, lol . I'm lovin' it

I saw this first thing this morning....wow. The Canucks are done. Should have traded Kesler and maybe even Edler.

Watching more of the Peverley stuff on TSN. Just completely scary. Just brings back so many memories of that November night in 2005 with Fischer. I remember like it was yesterday. I was at my parents house watching it and went upstairs and woke up my dad to tell him what was going on. The silver lining that might have come out of that like the guys on TSN were saying, because of that night defibrillators had to be everywhere in the rink.
