Haven't listened to the album version, but I do like this song very much.

Could’ve been produced a little better. I like what they did with it, but this could’ve been a really phenomenal track.

Couldn't wait to hear a studio cut of this song. Didn't disappoint. Nicely done!

This may be my favorite song on the album. The most vintage sounding Lyrics and music to me.

Why? It’d likely be boring as hell. This song isn’t meant to be extended

Even a short version of the jam would have been nice, but it's still a great track imo

In my review I said this is the closest to old dmb music

That said, it doesn’t need to be extended. People automatically believe that longer is better. This is a very mellow song. If it’s extended it’d likely be a snooze fest live

It was the song I was most excited about when they announced the tracklist. But now, after hearing it a few times, I'm not sure it even makes my Top 5 on this album. Again & Again/Virginia in the Rain are so much better on the album than they ever were live, and I am loving She and the short little Be Yourself thing. Do You Remember... yeah that's 5 songs that are better than B&BB on the album. Interesting twist, DMB!

I truly hope that's not the case... I like mellow songs like this that give me room to contemplate... if you cut it off, it loses it's overall feel... in my opinion anyway.

See, I dislike the whole "snoozefest live" take. I, for one, relish the sweet and subtle moments of DMB concerts... especially when I'm at home or in my car re-listening to the songs...
Having those types of songs/moments is one of the things that sets DMB apart from other bands IMO... everything doesn't have to be a "smack-you-in-the-face-and-grab-you-by-the-wrist-to-get-you-up-and-dancing-and/or-moshing" type of vibe for the concert to be great. A lot of my favorite go-to songs to re-listen to have those types of moments that you'd call a "snoozefest" live... like the Heartbeat Jam for example... yes it may put some people to sleep live... but that's kind of the point... that's the type of music it is... AMAZINGLY SOOTHING... that type of music has a place too... and I, for one, don't want to see that type of music die... which I feel it largely has recently due to trying to please the large majority of fans that feel the same way you do.

They fucked this one up production wise. Doesn't have the same feel as it did when it debuted on Letterman or was performed live after. Feels flat.

This song is a disappointment for me on this album. I LOVE the Live Trax 36 version; slow and beautiful. Now it's fast and missing depth.

"God is troubling when you consider, believers who would welcome the end of the world". Fuckin love that. Crazy it took a studio cut for me to realize how great this song is. And I love the shortened version, I think the long live versions suck the life out of a crowd. A nice 2 minute Jeff outro is all that is needed in the live setting.

I feel like as the songwriting has matured, they have created a group of songs that just don't fit their average venue. It would be nice to hear them play a number of smaller clubs where these type of songs could flourish. But yeah, in an ampitheatre this one becomes a bathroom break; at the Vanguard or the BlueNote, this would be a beast.

What does it say for production/musician credits on this one? Is there a guest drummer/percussionist? I could swear there are two drum tracks going on simultaneously at some parts of the song.

This, but what I would have really loved if this was jammed out for 6 minutes +, by far my fav song on ct even in its short form. But what I wouldn’t give for dmb to jam out in the studio again.

Where has this song been? Did Dave play it too much 3 years prior to the official release of it? I thought it would become a Dave and Tim staple, but they don't even touch it now.
