In the middle of a rewatch. So many great characters, hard to pick a favorite. EB is so great. Love Doc too and haven’t even gotten to Steve yet. Holy shit Kristen Bell. Maybe that is why she felt familiar in FSM.

I loved that episode. Cy was a real prick.

Shame both Powers Boothe and Ricky Jay are gone now.

I finished Season 3 rewatch last night. Man, a real shame they had to rush and throw it all together in the end. So many lose ends. Really looking forward to the movie.

TIL that Dillahunt is not the only actor who appeared in multiple speaking roles — the same actor plays Tim Driscoll and Shaughnessy.

I think it was implied that Bullock is why she came back.

Upon further reflection, it feels like this should have been a 4 or 6 episode limited series. 2 hours felt like not enough time to really delve deeper into the characters again. But I suppose we should be grateful for what we got after all these years.

Yeah, I watched it again and it's very clear that's why she came back.

"The bank? Oh, yes, Charlie, the bank. That's why I'm here. Of course. No other reason at all."

Yet we never see a single scene of her at the bank. Hmm. Curious.

    Re: Deadwood

I really enjoyed the movie. Mostly because it was just cool to get to see these characters one last time. I think they did a decent job coming up with a story for a one-off, extended episode. They absolutely could've developed this into a short series of episodes but 2 hours is all they got from HBO.

I loved seeing Al Swearingen in his reduced state. What a great contrast from his character we had come to know. An excellent performance from Ian McShane. It was fitting to see him near death and being tended to by the 2 women in his life who loved him and who he loved back. I was hoping to see more of Jane than we got.

I thought it was really satisfying.

A lot of appropriate endings for the characters. Jane in particular.
