Discussion with the head of film productions for WB. Good read, and it's not all about Superheroes.

I got to thinking about the Aquaman movie the other night and a huge issue caught me...

Aquaman spends all his time underwater. How are they going to make that translate to film? Obviously the actor can't film that much underwater and special FX will look cheesy for the whole movie when you think about hair floating around and everything. I have no idea how they'll do it.

Green Lantern will instead be called "Green Lantern Corps".

There's so much they can pull from for this film, and they could focus on/include any GL. Amazing.

With all the excitement this past week in the DC world I have been consuming myself in whatever I can. Decided to watch Under the Red Hood last night for the first time in a long time. I forgot how truly great that movie is. In my opinion, it's just as good as any live action Batman film. That story would be a great story to draw some ideas from for future movies.

I actually canceled the recording of Monday's episode cause I can only record two shows at once and had the Red Wings game on one and wanted to watch something else. It dropped off a lot in the middle, I've deleted the show a couple times cause I just didn't have the time to watch all my shows and that's the first show to go.

I'll watch the season to the end, well if I feel like watching a particular episode, but I'm not sure I'll get past this season. The character development for everyone just isn't there. I have no attachment to any of the characters. There is also nothing that draws me back each week the way that Flash and Arrow have done. I wanted it to work but I'm not too optimistic.

I was the same way, had a bunch recorded and I finally caught up on them and really enjoy the show now. It's one of the ones I look forward to most every week now.

Just started Arrow over the weekend and burned through season 1 fairly quickly. Any idea how I should go about watching Flash/Arrow to keep a somewhat clear timeline of events?

Season 2 of Arrow you can just go right through it. Season 3 of Arrow and 1 of Flash sync up nicely. I'd alternate between them really. Flash and then Arrow and Flash and Arrow cause that's how they aired each week.

I think there's a post either in this thread or the Flash one; there's a few that work a bit better if you watch the same series back to back.

Arrow s2 is great. then it fucking falls apart. You really don't have to watch s3 Arrow at all, you can just watch Flash and it'll be 'ok'.

well I figured if all else fails, you can always use this

    http://epguides.com/

and watch all the episodes in their original broadcast order (that's including from one series to another). That site has been a truly invaluable resource to me over the last few years. Once you find your show alphabetically, all info about that show is laid out in one (scrolling down forever) page. Season 1 of course at the top, then further on down the line, including the number ep it was in the season, and the original airdate. On some, when clicking the link behind the name of the episode, you can even get a synopsis, and every now and then, a 30sec spot for that episode.

In the midst of Season 2 and yea its fantastic. I am a bigger Marvel fan, but Arrow (through the beginning parts of Season 2) may be better than AoS or Agent Carter

I don't give a shit what anyone says, Batman Forever kicks ass (minus Jim Carrey)

Edit: The main title track, 'Kiss from a Rose', is my all time favorite guilty pleasure

okay, I am soooooooo confused. This news first broke a few MONTHS ago. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if all the work for it was completely done by now, voice and animation. and actually Hamil made three separate tweets out today as like little teases. Each contained the same still image (I'm assuming from the movie, with an angry Batman grabbing the Joker by the neck), and each tweet had a little line of Joker dialog.

They announced the movie, but not the actors.

okay but that still seems strange, cause I remember people bringing up Conroy and Hamil back when it first came out it was even getting made. And i really didn't think it was just a "how awesome would it be if they got Conroy and Hamil back together??" kinda thing. I could've sworn I even remembered Hamil tweeting out how much he was looking forward to be doing the Joker again.

It could have been unofficial at the time, and he was talking more about hypothetical and how he would love to do the Joker again.

So damn great either way, there are youtube videos out there of some famous scenes from that comic with people using his Joker voice and it sounds great. I can't wait to hear/see the real thing.

One Joker voice actor I think that doesn't get discussed enough is Michael Emerson (Ben from Lost). His take in The Dark Knight Returns was really enjoyable.
