Poster is as boring as it gets. Glad it’s not anymore interesting to even make me think about it. No rush to get in now.

Great show! I thought Dave seemed to be having a lot of fun tonight. I hadn’t heard Madman’s Eyes and was really blown away by that one.

    Re: ****Official Omaha 2022 Show****

Alright, a little more substantial thoughts after getting some sleep.

First, as you can see from my signature - I don’t go to shows all the time.
Second, as you can see from my post history - I don’t post on here a lot.
Third, I don’t follow setlists closely when I’m not going - I did check the few before this show to get an idea of what was in store, so I had some sort of idea.

This was a solid show. More entertaining for me than Nashville 2019, even with some repeats in the two sets.
I have more familiarity with songs from anything post-BS, which helped.
Madman’s Eyes is a rocker of a song, and on the level of newer rocking songs. The other new songs, OATB and SFTW? Meh. Didn’t pull me in.
I was chasing Crush and Jimi Thing, with my limited show count. So that was awesome.
And my wife, who isn’t a huge fan, was hoping for enough that she’d at least know well, so she was happy for Ants. I wasn’t unhappy about it. There’s a reason the “No hits - deep tracks only” joke in the Office is hilarious.

Overall, the band feels more comfortable as a group than in the Nashville show. I think Buddy’s settled in well. To me, Rashawn has especially settled in. Nashville had a lot of instances of overplaying, in my opinion. Not every trumpet solo needs to go into the stratosphere. But some can, if you do it right.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. The guy behind me, after SFTW, said “Come on man, anything but Ants!” But he was singing along happily with Ants.
As we were walking out, I heard a woman yell at her friend nearby. “What?!? No Crash?!? No Billies?!?”
I get it, I see the setlists are stagnant. I just thought it was enjoyable and I’m not gonna take the post-show mood down by being disappointed about what wasn’t played. DMB came to Omaha and I got to go to a show with very minimal planning. That’s a win.

    Re: ****Official Omaha 2022 Show****

I was pretty bummed when they announced the tour and that Iíd have to miss my home-state show because I already had a trip to Ann Arbor planned this weekend for the game. After looking at the set list, and knowing how the Omaha crowd is likely a majority of casual fans, Iím curious to know how the reaction and energy was at the show. After going to 7 shows this summer the only non-summer song I wouldnít have heard is BOWA and the rest is pretty bland. I feel like a majority of the casual fans would be pretty disappointed not to hear some of the more popular classics like WWYS, Billies, Bartender, 41, etc. Just seemed like strange flow and an uninspired set for casuals and hard cores alike, which has been the theme for this fall. Hope they come back to Omaha/Lincoln in the future! How about a Pinewood show at some point?!

    Re: ****Official Omaha 2022 Show****

Just got back to Colorado… had a nice time with Nebraska DMB fans. Lots of positive energy in the audience and a decent enough set to feel like the drive was worth it. My biggest gripe is You and Me… only because if I’m attending a gig, they’re going to play it. So that held true. Hopefully Omaha showed out well enough to get another show soon. It’s a nice easy drive when there’s no freezing rain across the state.

Was an odd night for me. Great seats on the floor and a good view. Crowd around me was dead, but it wasn't all their fault. The set just never built up any steam and it hasn't this tour for the same reasons others have mentioned. And one drink vender for the floor that works at a snails pace? Come on man

I thought Dave's voice sounded the best I've heard him in a while and I thought overall, the sound was great from the band. The energy seemed great the crowd was pretty good.

The setlist was meh and that was my only complaint. But still to hear this band play at a high level was enjoyable.

Of my tour history on Tour Central, this is my first concert out of 16 that was rated lower than a 4.1 (it's currently rated 3.5). Maybe I should be thankful this was my first poorly rated concert when it was still pretty good.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen the band in over 3 years, but damn they sounded good! Looked like they were having a blast and they sounded as tight as ever. Dave's voice was on point and other than the last 4 songs in the set, it was a sick show. Hope they come back sooner than 12 years!
