She is a young and while classically trained has the ability to be versatile with her playing. Not sure if she would be on board for the career change considering she adores Bach and many concertos but hey, ya never know.

He already confirmed the one we talked about before was who he was referring to.

No, but it sounded more like someone covering Ants to me.

On second glance, it actually says both. The e-mail says that Dave Matthews Band announced but the graphic only says Dave Matthews. I’m going with the graphic because it makes more sense.

And to me, the silence is bothersome. No album news, videos, or anything to move my meter in excitement or intrigue to buy tickets or build momentum.

The album news will come when they are ready to release it. If the album drops later in the summer there is no reason to announce anything yet.

The silence on Boyd is a little more concerning, but they aren't going to give anymore info on his condition/reason for leaving. If they aren't replacing him it's smart, but shady, to not say anything till the tour starts. If they have a replacement hired, at this point in time I assume they do, if in fact they are hiring one, I don't know why they wouldn't announce that.

if they truly didn't know about Boyd backing out until last minute, it's possible they are rehearsing/practicing with many different musicians to fill that gap.
speculation of course. So they could be quite busy to try and get ready for the tour by focusing on fixing things. because the night before concert sounded hollow.

I think they knew for quite a while and were using The Night Before as a trial run to see how they wanted to proceed in terms of replacing him. Of course this is all speculation on my part. If I'm right, I hope they felt the same way about the sound as we did, and they replace him with a violin player.

I think it is impossible that they didn't know ahead of time.

Which makes the timing of his announcement on the night that tickets had gone on sale really shitty, and likely calculated.

Ill just say this.. if they play this tour without a violinist, it will prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they dont give a single fuck about the fans in any manner.

Just proves to me theyre only playing for themselves/crew at this point. If you move forward without violin it just hammers home the idea they dont care what anyone in the audience thinks of what theyre doing.
