Yessssss to Bottlerock. Too bad it will cost an arm and a leg to get up there and see the show. Debating on doing a 1-day pass (they go on sale next week) and then wine tasting the next day.

Bonnaroo didn't exist in the 90's, the first year of the festival was 2002. And the attendance has declined for at least 3 straight years.

attendance went up last year from 2016. 2016 was the worse year ever for attendance.

2010: 75,000
2011: 80,000
2012: 100,000
2013: 90,000
2014: 90,000+ (numbers were never released this year)
2015: 74,000
2016: 45,500
2017: 65,000

Not high on Roo's main card this year, but I'm sure it will be fun for those going. Only big fest I'll be doing this year would be firefly depending on lineup. Will be returning to Lockn.

My buddy texted me that it was the "best lineup yet" so I went in excited only to find out that's it's basically the same lineup as everywhere else with a few minor tweaks.

Reading these numbers is interesting.

45,000 is smaller than most stadiums. It's weird to think about going to one of the largest (in namesake) festivals in the world and there literally being shows that the Rolling Stones are selling more tickets to.

Still, definitely a steep dropoff post 2014. I'll be really interested to see how it turns out this year.
