I am a big Arcade Fire fan, but definitely can understand not liking them.

With it being said that I am a fan, I thought their newest album was garbage on my one listen of it. Have had zero motivation to try and let it grow on me.

RHCP is another band I have really struggled with to try and get into. I think Under the Bridge is an amazing song, but the rest of it is generally just very blah for me. Definitely not a band I hate, just not really my cup of tea.

theyre worth seeing live... well flea is at least. Unlike nothing else in the music industry.

Arcade Fire's live performances are better than their music. I also like how like they pretend they are a French Canadian band, when the lead singer / song writer (who then put his brother, girlfriend/now wife, and best friend in the band) is from the suburbs of Houston.

Overrated pop music, just like Weezer. However, Chuck Klosterman is on the record starting that Noel Gallahger is the funniest celebrity he has ever met, so that counts for something.

Don't think (in their prime) Oasis or Weezer are overrated at all, in one sense. They are both quintessentials in their respective subgenres of rock. Looking back they may seem a bit cliche but that's only because soooo many people have emulated/imitated them for the last 25+ years.

Actually did see them at Bonaroo this year, and yes, I actually would say they sounded quite good. However, my phone was stolen during their show so my mind was very distracted and stressed out during most of their performance and I wasn't able to give them a truly fair shake. But based on what I heard, I would be willing to give them another go in a live setting.
