I don't know about anyone else, but it's getting really frustrating as a fan. The band sounds awesome, the sets are getting great again but I'm sorry, it's not DMB without Boyd. It would be one thing if it were the tendinitis and he was taking breaks every now and then, but he's crushing solos and then visibly playing during songs and you can't hear a note. If he were just standing there resting his wrist I could be a bit more understanding, but this just flat out sucks and has become a huge problem.

The Seek Up solos always end abruptly with Dave looking at Carter as to say ok on to this part.

As to the videos in Columbus, I haven't seen that at any other show this summer, so I would assume something was going on that was venue specific. Idk for sure, but it's odd that it happened twice there and nowhere else.

I disagree. He's been muted since 2011/12. I was watching pretty closely and it seemed like something was up.

As for Columbus, it seems convenient that it happened to Boyd and no one else, given the past few year of history. It's so blatantly obvious there's a problem.

I'm specifically referring to him being muted in the middle of a long solo at that show. That hasn't happened anywhere else that I have seen. Anything other than that has been known for a few years I agree with you.

To me it seems like ever since LeRoi died he hasn't been the same. Obviously so after he died Boyd was very mellow on stage and that carried over in 2009. I feel like he gradually got more of his presence back, especially in 2015. But now it seems to have decline again.

I guess I see things a little differently. You can call me a rapist, that's fine. I mean it makes you look dumb because I'm not and there is no evidence to show I am, but you are free to say what you want. Now of course if I prove you wrong and you persist, then that becomes harassment, but I don't think that is what the poster was doing here, he just made a connection....

I mean the guy was in the band with Boyd, he makes this comment that is clearly about someone with money and power that he knew personally and doesn't anymore, I doubt seriously the guy was in any other band with a big name musician, he's no longer in the band with Boyd, so I think the poster has a legitimate reason to wonder, whether or not we agree with him (which I personally don't).

I think the problem is, there is no victim. If this person were actually a victim, of an actual crime, maybe go to the proper authorities instead of using social media. Boyd may do his own thing and be a little different but this is disgusting and baseless.

Truth is Hollywood is a disgusting industry with very little morals and an insatiable desire for cash and fame. I wouldn't be surprised if half your 80% arrived there on their knees or backs willingly.

Speculation regarding vague posts (in a touring band the author has probably met dozens of people with more industry and financial power than he has, from managers to promoters to members of headlining bands he opened for) rarely provide help and clarity, and often do alot of damage. If you dont know anything concrete, best to stay quiet. If you have a personal relationship with the person affected, you could encourage them to share their story if you want to do something productive.

So just to be clear this guy then posted about the #metoo thing going on and he flat out named Boyd. So this is legit. But you have to actually be Facebook friends with him to see it.

I'm not saying Boyd did anything. He probably (hopefully) didn't. I just found this a bit disturbing.

Are you able to copy and paste the text where Boyd is named? Im interested in reading what he says. From the first post it sounded like a business deal gone south vs a sexual attack.
