Sweet!

Just purchased mine too! Flying out for the show! Those floor seats got a little steep, I’m sitting in Sec 101.

got a seat i didn't want because i clicked the wrong price tier. i wish they had a color-coded seating chart coinciding to where the seats were.

alas, threw it back to get nothing anywhere else. i'm not even bothering with chase or TM

Curious to see which songs from the past three records are gonna get the symphony treatment.

Would love to see them do All Within My Hands, they reworked that into a really good acoustic song. Adding the symphony could be great. Maybe Frantic would work too? I'd be surprised if Moth Into Flame didnt make the cut. The Day That Never Comes seems like it would work as well.

Most of all, I'm hoping for Orion. They've been playing it again with Rob and I think doing it S&M style would be a great tribute to Cliff. Fingers Crossed.

Trying the public on sale today but it doesn't look good for ol' Colden Grey.

Oh well. I've seen some cool Metallica gigs (SB50, acoustic twice, opening for the Stones, small venue in 2016).

I'm not surprised they were in high demand. Metallica and symphony again would be a pretty key event anyway. Add in that it's opening night for a new arena and that's a pretty sought-after stub.

So it's high demand for less than 20,000 seats. I get why it was a shit show.

per the guy who runs their official forum:

"between all of us here, keep watching the site over the next week or so… the boys are working on an “obvious” solution to the issue (wink wink, nudge nudge)… so stay tuned!"

i wonder if they're going to do a second night at another venue. glad i didn't book flights yet

IIRC, I had other plans that evening. I don't hate St. Anger, but I don't recommend listening to the whole thing in one sitting either.

St Anger is greatly improved by the live setting. That way you get their standard instrument/drum sounds, instead of the sonic experimentation. And Bob Rock is absent from the live shows.

Robert was such a good pick to follow Jason. He really does fit right in there with them so naturally.
