So Damn Lucky right now is nothing short of terrible...youtube the Rothbury version. its 9 minutes, and the outro is fucking great...20 minute SDL's should never happen, and its what critics mean when they say the band is self-indulgent

So sad. It’s 2021 and Thank you killed the awesome outro. And don’t get me wrong, I love Thank you, I sang it for more than 30 mins at Alpine that night but the SDL outro was one of my favorites. Can we save this or is it too late?

The band encourages it now, so it's probably too late, but that god-awful Everyday outro disappeared from #41, so there's hope.

I don't mind the song, I don't mind the 20 minute version of the song... The "Thank You..." chant is corny AF.

I get all fired up at critics, press, trolls who groan about DMB (and the community)... there was never "enough" reason in my book for that kind of criticism.

HOWEVER, hearing several efforts for this chant at the end of SDL over the course of this tour got me thinking that "THIS" must be what they are talking about.

Quit it.

I'll take it every time over the Can't Help Falling in Love in the Stone...that's never sat well in my ears...it's like a drill in my teeth w/ novocaine... Fortunately the song is so strong it overcomes this trite and annoying bit of fan participation.

I don't get why it's an issue. We had the repetitive SDL outro with Tim turned up to 12 for years, and we've had this outro for years, at least the band can tell the fans at the shows seem to be into it. As for fan involvement and changing songs, it's happened at every stage of the band's career, some for better some for worse.

I love the Can’t Stop Falling In Love fan interpolation in The Stone. For me, it adds to the heartbreak expressed within the song.
