So this is hilarious... I listened to first 35 seconds like everyone else, laughed, then cried, then laughed again after I turned it off and read the comments. Then I told my wife “sorry but you gotta hear this new song from Boyd— don’t worry 30 seconds will do it.” I played it in my browser of my phone and then somehow it went away, but the music didn’t. The dude just kept singing with Boyd playing yatch rock violin in the background. I panicked. It had taken over my phone and our eardrums and I couldn’t stop it. My wife was not amused— she asked why it was still playing. She eventually grabbed the phone out of my hand and after listening to another 45 seconds or so of the screaming/screeching easy listening she figured out I had some sort of SoundCloud app in my tools section I didn’t know about. It was such an incredible relief when she was able to turn it off. You would have thought my phone was about to explode given our frantic effort to get it to go away. I guess the good news is we probably made it closer than anyone to making it through the entirety of that song. Yikes.

I think it’s pretty safe to say Boyd is a dude that was reasonably versed in the violin that had a great stage presence and got really lucky. His solo projects have not been good at all.

Tim had at least 100 Dave and Tim/Dave and Friends shows in that period....so it's not a totally fair comparison. This is all Boyd will probably do for the rest of his life. Very sad fall from grace.
