Really strange league rules.

It should be an all or nothing thing. Why would a TE (who is a receiver) get PPR but actual WR or RBs dont? Makes no sense, and adds too much value to a lesser position.

Id vote against that rule change for sure.

Supposed to give tight ends a little more value so they can utilized in the flex.

Inside word form someone in the SAS camp anticipates a 4 game suspension for Zeke. Something to think about if you're drafting soon. Apparently same contact that leaked 4 games for Brady during deflategate.

If he does get a 4 game ban should I use a first round pick to keep him? This is the last year I can keep him.

The FFPC(Pantasy Football Player's Championship) does a similar thing. They are ppr, but 1.5 ppr for tight ends. Because of that, tight ends definitely do get drafted earlier. I'd say Gronk at 9 is fair value.

The last couple years I have been the commish of 5 leagues. I'm kind of over a few and decided to cut a few loose. Today I got this email regarding one of the leagues I decided to end. By the way, the email is from an upper management guy at my work. I swear it's a great plotline for The League tv show, if it were still on.

"Would you consider doing it one more year and just making it a new NON KEEPER league? I feel bad for my little friend in the wheelchair who looks forward to this. I can try to help where needed. Thanks."

I'm in 5 leagues and it's awful. One, maybe two max, is more fun.

Two is good for fun. After that youre rooting against yourself.. but I still enjoy it. Havent had 4 before so this will be an adventure.

Couldnt imagine commish-ing 5 though. Why not just pass off duties to someone who still wants to play in it?

I've been trying to shift my focus to more best ball leagues, then I have no in-season management. But I'll still probably manage about 6 or 7 this year. I don't mind a bunch, you're always winning somewhere. Losses don't hurt as much. And it's easier to fully enjoy actually watching football, since no matter what happens it's likely helping me somewhere.

Nobody else will take the reigns. Nobody wants to collect the money, hold them money and dispurse the money. That is the worst part of it.

Its a league where you don't have to set your lineups at all. Each week it takes the highest scores by each position on your team.

Example if you only have 1 starting QB

    A. Rodgers is in your "starting spot" and scores you 17 fantasy points
    J. Winston is in your "bench spot" and scores 23 fantasy points

Your score for the week would reflect Winston's 23 even though you didn't technically start him

Depending on who is available around the same time you would have to take him, I may pass. You can grab Crabtree for a later pick and solidify your team with a different pick at wherever Coopers ADP is

Yeah, I'm basically just gambling on his talent and the fact that I think he's the next "elite" WR...

Do you already know your draft position for your league? I think whomever your first pick is going to play a role in whether you should take Cooper as well. If you get a WR first round you may be wiser taken a RB in the 2nd because solid RBs are rarer. (IMO of course)

I'm picking second in a 12 team league. Will be taking David Johnson. I know the guy with the first pick is taking Bell.

Id lean AB over Johnson, but thats just me. Have a feeling johnson might have a production dropoff this year

Yeah I've thought about that but it's hard to pass up on a RB that is still young, has been durable, and that productive.

There is no way you don't take David Johnson at the 2nd pick. Most leagues will probably have him 1st.

Taking Cooper with your 2nd pick wouldn't be too bad then since its the late 2nd round.

    Are you doing PPR?

The thing with Cooper is he only finished as a WR 1-2 (Top 24) 44% of the time last year and the other 56% time he finished as a WR 4 or worse (48+).

Yes, snake draft. I wouldn't mind going Johnson/Gronk/Cooper first 3 picks.

    I can't quit Gronk.

I cant blame you on gronk.. but I have a feeling sometime soon he is going to fall off the wagon for good. Dude has just had too many injuries.

I said with his second pick, don't they teach you to comprehend when you read at WVU?

I'm in a 10-team standard as well. My "main" one. I wouldn't be opposed to either of those. Zeke is zeke, and the only fair thing we can do is see the outcome with how many games.

I play in a standard scoring 10t. I also am viewing Freeman as no later than 6 guy. There's no reason his floor shouldn't be 1200 plus total yards,8-12 total tds.

    Would you agree?
