And the Sox only did so after their players nearly killed three fans in 2015. Congrats?

yikes.. no one said this is a contest.

MLB recommended to extend the netting. For some reason the Yankees didn't. Hopefully this sends a message not only to the Yankees, but any other team that refused to do so

I mean you both just got about as triggered as I've seen anyone lately. Rushing to defend the Yankees over this when all I asked is a question. Great look. Keep it going.

Hopefully this girl is ok and she grows up to be a little less sensitive than you.

You are really this dumb huh? Kids getting hit with foul balls is awful regardless of the team that hits them. I asked a question. You are the one that brought up another MLB team. Glad you are doubling down though.

You are the one that got ridiculously defensive and googled "red sox ball hit fan" and made it a team based thing. Then you tried calling out me for making it Sox/Yankees rough page or two for you. Own it and move on. It happens.

You're the one that brought up the sox. Ricky mentioned the Yankees in the Yankees thread.

    Re: New York Yankees

The thing is I actually agree that all teams should extend the netting, but in classic troll fashion Ricky comes in with factual inaccuracies about the MLB's request to extend the netting and creating the inference that the Yankees defied an MLB order or something to that effect, when the reality is made clear Ascf's response post.

I brought up the Sox merely to demonstrate that they only extended it after three of their fans literally were almost killed in the stands, so it's not like they voluntarily were ahead of the curve. Same can be said for many other teams. Sadly many teams have not extended the netting. Very unfortunate that this child was hit with a foul ball and I hope the Yankees take corrective action soon (probably in the offseason if I had to guess). In fact it was reported this past August that the Yankees were working with architects and engineers to figure out how to best add the protective netting from dugout to dugout. Very sad they couldn't have figured it out sooner. Luckily all reports I've found this morning indicate the girl is doing okay.

Glad you finally agree you are the one that made it a team thing. I am sorry the question I asked made you react the way you did though. Unfortunate for you. You can continue to pass it off as me trolling though if that helps.
