I was there, in GA last year. It’s literally on the beach. So closer to the water means you’re obviously lower than if you were closer to the boardwalk. I’d advise posting up on Buddy’s side if you’re doing GA. Also, the stages on the beach are set up opposite each other, like end zones on a football field. So there’s a lot of the crowd moving back and forth.

Great thanks for an answer (and makes sense to be Buddy side)! Hope you don't mind if I pick your brain some more lol. Did it feel overcrowded? I'm wondering how easy it is to walk back and forth between the two stages....if I were to do a back and forth approach how close to the stage could I reasonably get before I hit a wall of people?

Also how were bathrooms/concessions etc? Any other tips you think would be useful?

Definitely not overcrowded. Who knows if they raise the number of tickets they sell, but it was quite comfortable all day. Obviously come headliner time, the crowd all focused on the one stage so it got more concentrated.

I should also mention there is a 3rd stage, in front of convention hall. They basically close a city block off and fence it in so it’s all a part of the festival grounds.

If you’re looking to post up in a spot say a hundred feet from the rail for DMB, I’d get to your spot like an hour before show time.

Bathrooms were not an issue, but I can only speak on how the men’s rooms were...

Great thanks again, this is all super helpful! How about the sound? Was it loud enough? I assume the only stacks are at the stage.

Sound was good, not great. No issues if you’re lined up with one of the stage stacks.

It is! Signed up here strictly to keep track of my stats then fell down the rabbit hole after finding the forum side of things here. Admittedly not a creative username, though I did end up meeting people who also went to Monmouth because of my username.

How's everyone doing with hotels/housing? Beach prices are tough.

Booked the Hawthorn Suites in Tinton Falls.

It was $297 for the two nights, didn't think that was terrible.

Pretty brutal...all the nice hotels in the area are fully booked and not seeing anything via airbnb. At this rate I'm probably just going to drive there and back both days (40 mins away)....was hoping to stay local and really get wild but unless something changes I'll have to be a responsible adult lol.

Yea I'd like to stay close to the bach and drive the shore up and back versus closer to like Rutgers/Newark.

I'm at La Quinta Inn in West Long Branch. I can't speak to the hotel or really even the location, but I got two nights for $365 total. I didn't think that rate was horrible considering I booked just a few days ago.

I just grabbed a room here also. Price was way too cheap to pass up. Free cancellation also so no risk. Thanks!

Nice location, a lot right around you. That hotel used to be housing for college students.

If you're in to sports betting, Monmouth Park will be about a mile away from you.

Yea, I've had a lot of fun in this area in the past. And I am very much into sports betting so that's good to know. Thanks! However, I may make the move to Point Pleasant. It's half the price.
