Hello all, starting to get bummed about potentially missing my first tour summer since 1999. Considering a solo trip from Minneapolis. Anyone happen to have a single to sell that would push me over the edge?

I'm not going to be able to make it this weekend and have 2 Warehouse tickets in the lower pavilion, Section 5, Row T. Would like to get face value ($170 total), but I'm in West Michigan so would need to work out shipping.

The hourly forecast on my phone is showing possible t-storms in the morning and very early afternoon, but good to go after that. Not awful temps either, high 70's-low 80's. Thinking it should be a great day!

Someone more local might be able to better speak to this, but I don't think there are really any hotels so close by the festival grounds that you could walk to and from (I could be wrong.)

However I do think a lot of the downtown hotels probably offer shuttles to and from Summerfest...

Staying at the Westin and planning to do the 1 mi walk after the show.

Anyone know anything about the Preferred Lot parking passes for Summerfest? Is there any type of 'easy out' involved or are you just closer to the grounds?

Bars in the area also provide shuttle service. There’s also the “park and ride” system that uses the local carpool parking lots. I don’t remember the price for a bus but it’s cheap. This really opens up your options for getting out of the city for better hotel rates, but the buses are usually packed to capacity and don’t drink the “water” teens offer you out of Dasani bottles unless you like cheap vodka comrade.

Your best option for easy out is finding a parking lot that is directly south of the South Gate or north is the north gate for easy out. I live in a west suburb of milwaukee so I always park by the north gate, and head north for a little bit to avoid the congestion by the freeways. To anyone who lives in a big city like Chicago, the locals idea of congestion I’m sure is laughable.

I hope they find a way but I don't know how the band will have any energy left for this show after playing 2 nights in hot/humid conditions in Chicago

I remember plenty of weekend shows at Alpine that were hot and humid, and the band still put on an awesome show. This weekend will be a different beast.

I'm from Chi and yes, usually congestion there is nothing like it is here (one of the reasons I love coming to MKE for shows, actually) but Summerfest is a different beast. I remember sitting in a mass of cars *forever* getting out of the Stones show a couple years ago.

2012 I thought they were going to be completely gassed after putting on an epic show Saturday in that heat, and they came out Sunday and played even longer!

Don't think they had another show right on the back of that one though! I'm a little worried about their energy level Sunday as well, but weather looks like it will be much cooler than Fri-Sat.

Really any hotel downtown or the 3rd/5th ward is fine. The walk is not bad and there are lots of shuttles. On the way out you are better walking towards downtown and grabbing a beer on or near Water street in the 3rd Ward. If you are staying in downtown you will be walking distance back and outside downtown you won't be competing as much for Uber. I like the Hilton Garden Inn downtown but not sure if they have rooms left. Hope this helps.
