I dont think the info in the link is right. I always knew the girl on the cover of Recently to be a gal named Erin Vanderlind. She was a local girl from Charlottesville that did regional modeling in the lower Shenandoah Valley.

I know its linked, but I think the thing to consider here is that the girl on the Recently cover is now pushing 35 to 40, and the girl in that link started modeling in 1997 and did that for 10 years, making her around 27 or so. Plus, I dont really think Swisher's gal and the gal on the Recently cover dont look alike.

And I dont have link for the Erin Vanderlind info, but its just one of those DMB facts that you learn years ago and its etched in your head for the rest of time.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. It's probably an honest mistake, but it's pretty weak to completely disregard the real cover girl.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I wanted to clear up some misconceptions.

The girl on the cover of recently is definitely Erin Van der Linde, from Charlottesville. I went to school with her and she was 2 years older than me, which would make her around 34 now, in 2010. I remember her because she won the "Best All Around" superlative popularity contest in the year book, and because of her weird last name.

Not Tim...I wish. Just thought I'd pick a dmb-relevant name, and this was the first thing that popped in my head. I did see TR3 a few times, way back before anyone knew who Tim was. I have a cassette tape of theirs somewhere. I've definitely met him once or twice. Great guy. Awesome guitar player. Mad that I didn't take lessons from him when I have the chance, although I do want to take some with his old drummer, Robert Jospe'.
