So I went to the Orange County Fair with my daughter today. Orange County California is a pretty conservative county.

The mask wearing was pretty inline with certain races which I thought was fascinating. The majority of African Americans and Asian Americans I saw were wearing masks. The majority of whites and Latinos I saw were NOT wearing masks.

I have such mixed feelings about the left's attempts the style of the right's disinformation campaigns through things like #MarjorieTheManiac (reference: https://twitter.com/MeidasTouch/stat...26391602229248)

On one hand, I think that might be the most effective way to reach people who are already susceptible to that style of politics. If it looks like other videos that have swayed their opinion, it might have a similar effect

OTOH, it makes me roll my eyes because 1A) it's so chasing the tail of conservative media 1B) looks lame and desperate as a result and 3) I dislike that this is what passes for political discourse

I worry about the long-term ramifications of our politics turning into Ben Shapiro-style "watch this conservative get PWNED" content

This is all a result of naive and foolish policies that are letting prisoners out of jail early sometimes because of false claims that we have an over incarceration problem in this country or exaggerated fears about the coronavirus.

We're facing a historic crime wave and Democrats are advocating for violent, repeat felons to be let out of jail early.

I saw some of that rally or whatever it was last night. The guy is legitimately out of his mind, he really just goes on stage and makes stuff up for 90 minutes and they eat it up. I honestly think he could burn the American flag and they would cheer.
