General Admission - Minor League parks

So what's everyone's opinion on the band going GA and the band playing minor league fields?? As a very fortunate first year WH member it definitely sucks not to have a seat assignement.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how many tickets are sold GA...I know every baseball stadium show i've ever been to you are never allowed on the infield. I'm betting they couldn't fit more than a five hundred to a thousand on a minor league outfield with a stage set-up on it?? But as my good friend mentioned, sketchy security at a minor league field and a bunch of drunk frat boys and next thing you know you got everybody hopping the bleachers onto the field...should defintiely be interesting??

I think DMB at that park in Charleston would be awesome.

I've been there for a ballgame and seeing a DMB show there would be amazing, and on July 4th?? No brainer.

Yes it should be interesting. I don't know about the other venues, but there's supposed to be 8,000 on the field in Oklahoma City...

And from my measurements with Google Earth, estimates of stage size and location, and mad geometry and mathematical skills that gives each an every one of those 8,000 an average of 11 square feet of real estate. Of course those up from will be lucky to have 2 square feet!

Wholy cow....I could see 8,000 total, but 8,000 on the field....no way that would work.

AGREED....Cool locale and good finish to the NC midweek run...i'll def be there.

I'm cool with it but we'll see if people get crazy trying to get to the front. These types of things can be dangerous if people aren't chill. My parents even were at a show where I woman was killed b/c she was trampled to death by people rushing to the front when the doors opened. And I do mean death...she was killed...as in she died...ceased to live. So hey, just be careful and remember, it's just a concert.

That's what I'm thinking. I don't know the last time DMB did a bunch of General Admission shows, but didn't they stop around 2000-2002 because of this exact problem (the RFK show in 2000, maybe)? I mean unless you're spending a couple grand, it's nearly impossible to get first few rows at a show, unless you've got GA and can push your way up there.
