just watched the hulu miniseries Catch-22 the last few days. I really enjoyed it, I think it's worth a watch for anyone interested in the book or WWII

This is a dark comedy, right?

too much of a Dexter vibe for me, couldn’t get through one episode. i feel like i’ve watched so many similar shows already my head couldn’t get into it. (same as Mr. Robot)

my female friends are crazy for it tho

I was told if you like Dexter, you'll like You. But it's like a parody of Dexter, crossed with late night Cinemax. It's fucking awful.

The only thing it really has in common with Dexter is the narration style.

Yeah its supposed to be part thriller part dark comedy. Wife and I enjoyed the first season.

My assessment is as follows:

Should have just done one season and called it good.

Didn't need a second season, but it started off kind of ok, proceeded to get better and then completely went off the rails. They should have ended it differently and wrapped the series.

We started season three and its just wandering into preposterous territory now. I tapped out but my wife is really into it.

first season was decent to me. Second season was meh. Third season I gave up on.

I'm kinda into Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+. I have a month trial and was just looking for stuff to watch and this seems ok.

You makes Dexter look like a public access program imo…

S2 and S3 was some of the most wild/fun TV I’ve ever watched lol. It does feel like it has jumped the shark a little bit though; not sure how it could get any crazier but I said that before S3 too.

watched the first episode of this and the thing that happens towards the end of the episode made me so mad that I have no motivation to go back to it

Feel like The Shrink Next Door should be better than it is. Slow and painful to watch from an emotional standpoint. Guy is fleecing him and it's too painfully obvious.

The podcast was tremendous and it's really disappointing to see how poorly it's transitioned to TV, especially with this outstanding cast.

No idea. I found the original sitting in the Trash forum, but the last few pages look like normal TV talk. I can't remember what happened there or why.

He's gone completely dark. No FB activity. Hasn't logged in here. I emailed him to check on him and he never responded. Someone posted on his FB wall in September asking how he was doing but no response or comments. Just straight up ghosting.

Yea, I actually started searching obits, fearing the worst but can't remember exactly where he lived. Hopefully he just chucked every bit of social media and is outside fishing or something.
