Range finder is super useful when laying up, picking lines off the tee.

I hadn't seen this somehow, anyway I'm asking for it for Christmas so free to me, I think it'll be helpful for the reasons you pointed out. Also the place where I'm a member, practice facility not a CC, has a grass tee area and they are constantly changing where you hit from. I know how far I hit each shot with each club but if I already have a rangefinder in my bag I'd like to at least get a number for one of the flags to work off of.
Have been practicing short game off a mat lately at a different place with a roof and heaters, something I should have been doing last winter
