I know, I think too much! I am only going to Ireland, so I will not be watching all of this!

So, I don't care for gangster/mafia/cartel movies or shows. I've also got a massive peeve regarding television shows and movies about making television shows and movies. That said, season one of Get Shorty with Chris O'Dowd was excellent.

Started season two and it seems to be maintaining the quality. Just got picked up for season three too.

Of course I assume this has already been mentioned, but I haven't actually looked at this thread in months...well before season one was available on Netflix.

watched the first couple episodes of the ranch... im not sure if I sort of like the characters or if its just me liking the actors.

The cheesy 80s sitcom feeling set really hurts the show I can tell.

I know people like this but is it worth continuing? Im pretty mixed up on how to feel about it so far. The whole thing just feels kind of half assed for a netflix original.

Sick Note with Rupert Grint. Holy shit is this show funny, we watched all 2 seasons while we've been home the past week.

The bumbling doctor, Nick Frost from Hot Fuzz and other things, is the absolute highlight of the show. He is amazing.

    Highly recommend Sick Note.

I watched the first season and can't really decide what I thought. So over the top but some decent humor.

The girlfriend cheating on him is definitely over the top, she is certifiable.

It is amusing how all this stuff is happening and Ron Weasley is just casual, evasive, and slightly awkward about everything. I like him in this show.

Season 2 gets better. Wasn't sure how they were going to keep the show going and have fresh new plotlines, but they do.

New show Sex Education is fantastic. Burned through the first 5 episodes, assumed it was a 10 and just realized it's only 8. Gutted

But it's pretty funny, it's British so it's a lot less uptight about sex. A little edgier than most American shows and is got a little heart too. Def recommend.

Started Murder Mountain last night. The subject matter about the shady history of Humboldt County is very interesting. The editing/organization of the storytelling, however, is not great. Jumps all over the place and repeats a lot of info.

Excited for this as long as it doesn't get too political.

Yeah the wife and I got totally sucked into and loved Sex Education. Wonderfully inappropriate, yet almost a family show compared to Brockmire, which we also love...but it is completely unaware of there being anything like the concept of "a line" that you shouldn't cross.

Finished Sex Education earlier today and echo what everyone else has said. Loved it. I feel like this could feel the void that Freaks and Geeks left us with only one season.

    We watched it last night.

I liked it a lot for what it had in it I suppose and not really judging it on any type of cinematic scale.

I had never seen a lot of that footage, or heard him in his own words like that.

It did leave a lot out, I remarked it wasn’t so much about the murders or crime but him through those close to him, the police, and his own words.

I know people from aspen who remember standing in the 12” deep foot prints left by Bundy when he jumped out of the courtroom window and tell all about that time.

It’s all just very interesting to me. Subliminal flash frames were pretty funny tho.

Separately, watched 10 mins of sex education and turned it off.

I liked the Bundy tapes and watched it last night, of course I knew nothing about him other than Ted Bundy = serial killer. Was crazy to learn about the 30+ victims, two escapes, and his roll in his defense. Wild.

Honestly, I think you should give it more time. I wasn’t too keen on it at all at the start and wasn’t sure I’d watch past the first episode, but by the end of Episode 1, it got enough interest in me to see where it would go. And then it got better and better with each episode.

No spoilers but Ann Rule worked with him stayed in touch his whole life and this is her account. One of the best true crime books I think I’ve read.

    High schoolers and sex right?

I have 5 of them, maybe it’s too close to home or just not my genre.

I’m really liked skins the original actually but I’m not sure about this one.

I enjoyed the Ted Bundy Tapes.

The Stranger Beside Me is amazing.

Here’s a free “scrapbook” of a lot of Bundy info:

High schoolers and sex would be kind of the nutshell description I suppose, but I don’t think it does real justice. It turns out to have a lot of depth especially for familiar archetypes that have often been treated as caricatures in movies/shows of the past. The extroverted gay black friend being a prime example of this - there’s just some really excellent writing and acting in his story, especially in the latter half of the season.

I was apprehensive of it at first too, because it seemed it was all sex, sex, sex that any of the characters were talking about or doing. It came off as a bit forced (neither pun intended), but once they really start exploring the characters and getting into their psyche/personal lives, I found them so relatable and interesting, and decided not long into the season that I was in for the full ride. I am glad I went past my first impression, because now I can’t wait for Season 2.
