Dude-

Isolate. Nobody needs this shit right now. 6/2018 was the last time anyone posted in this thread before you came in here throwing your “this is why people hate...blah blah blah” BS. Wasn’t any hate till you brought it.

It’s a vinyl release. Someone knew or thought they knew something that they passed on to other fans. For whatever reason that info hasn’t come to be yet. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t.

Don’t ya have to think there are some things that matter just a little bit more right now? Might be time to focus.

Get a grip.

All quiet on the western front from everything I have insight to; at least as of the last touch-point I had a few months back.

Doby doesn't work at "FYE" to my knowledge.

Also, something being on an order sheet is generally a decent indicator.

Hey, here's some inside info: BTCS will be re-released sometime within the next 24-26 months. You heard it here first!

Oh! Interesting. Do we know if it was supposed to be N1 or N2? (No worries if you can't or don't want to say, of course - I'm just curious.)

Does anyone know why they don't print more copies of this album on vinyl??...

Just got a record player and an old amplifier up and running, and (naturally) this is one of the first albums i went after. Dissappointed to find it unavailable

Because vinyl wasn't very popular in 1998. I'm honestly surprised they pressed any copies of it.

As for why they didn't do a 20th anniversary reissue like they did with all of the previous albums... who knows.

I still think they might pull out a 25th anniversary because this was their first no. 1 which is a huge milestone for the band, especially since they still hold that streak. I would be willing to bet we'll get Everyday and Busted Stuff vinyl before BTCS

I have no clue. I mean, I would say that a "20th Anniversary" reissue is definitely dead since it's 22.5 years old now, but a reissue of some sort may still be on the table... who knows.

I think the shift from physical item sales to streaming played a role. While it should have been apparent that vinyl has had a MASSIVE surge in sales each of the last five or so years, it seems RLM (as it relates to DMB) is a bit slow on the uptake.

That said, they keep doing pressings of Live Trax, so they know there's a significant vinyl market among DMB fans.

I would almost think that the 20th anniversary release was lost in the shuffle of getting the 2018 album out. Especially if they were distancing themselves from Boyd and the fiddle sound evoking him, BTCS getting the backburner would make sense. Remember the casual listener is the target for physical media reissues. They could have felt their album of newer recently de-Boyded material would have been overshadowed by a reissued BTCS, almost universally acclaimed to be the apex of their work, resulting in fewer sales.

This is an excellent point that never crossed my mind!

Hopefully it was simply delayed rather than shelved. I know it's been rumored that the Batson Session leak may have also contributed.

But in the face of the pandemic and people at home spending more on physical media than they have in a long time, AND DMB trying to make up for lost revenue due to a cancelled tour -> I would think now is the best possible time to move this forward to reality.

Quite frankly, with the resurgence of vinyl players I'm surprised RLM/DMB aren't doing the gimmicks like Pearl Jam like purple vinyl records or even Live Trax on vinyl.

I agree. Tons of bands are doing the same.

In addition to BTCS does Some Devil ever have a chance?
