Idk. I don't think I can upload fonts to that site though. If we find one, and my friend can actually do the shirts, I would imagine we could use our own font though.

Probably should do the FD in red on the back to cut down the number/cost of colors. And font front and back blue?

I don't know how to make that firedancer red. I seriously suck at Photoshop. Good idea though.

    What's that last sentence?

I was just saying keep all the font blue. That way the whole shirt is only two colors total. (red/blue)

another thought... Maybe we should keep it simple and just use the flag. That way we can wear it for out of state shows to represent without it being too show specific. Idk

I DEFINITELY like the idea of having a shirt with just the flag to wear at out of state shows.

Just did a little pricing experiment.

For everything, front and back as is, $17.95.

    Just the flag: $12.95

I'm gonna buy the flag one for sure (attached below. Looks fucking SHARP). We can keep playing with the Texas Two Step one.

I dig it! How much is a colored shirt? I kinda like the idea of ash grey or burnt orange. The white shirt doesn't seem to pop as mich because of the white in the flag.

    $22.95 for a colored shirt.

I've been looking for other websites that might be cheaper, but all the ones I've found that will do the shirt for less have quantity minimums. Lowest I've seen is a 12 shirt minimum.

The site I'm using has no minimum.

Actually pretty cheap. Just need a decent printer to print out the image. I might actually play around with that if I can get Allison to drive me to Walmart tonight. Don't know if I own an iron though...

    Kassie!

I was just thinking about you today. Haven't seen you on the boards in a while.

Yea, you should have seen us at Gorge. We had a huge Texas flag displayed in front of our tent.

so, maybe this year we'll be Row G (hopefully center) if all goes well. still, not bad i guess, but not the reserved seat in the pit as of years past.
We're usually on the other side at the Woodlands. That first row behind the pit is actually a nice place to see a show, since it is a little bit raised, and has a rail - maybe'll we'll get there. REgardless, as long as I am center, I won't complain too much. Justin, how many shows have you been to, approx?

^ Center Row A is the best row in the house, personally. Like you said, it's about a foot higher than the pit people in front of you, you have tons of space between your seat and the rail. You get AC coming off the stage. And the sound is a bit more balanced than the pit. It's lots easier to see the entire stage as well. Matter of fact, if I do get pit this year, I might try to trade for center row A.

My first show was in 98. But I'm only at #29 right now. The majority of the time I've only gotten to see one show a year because of classes, work, and being a broke student. The past few years I've gotten to make some nice trips with Matthew and his wife.

I have a lot of friends over 100. That's just awesomely insane. I wish I could afford that kind of time off from work AND the funds to do it. Then again, I think 4-6 shows a year is about the right amount as to not get burnt out.

With your senority, you're picking the wrong time to increase shows. 29 is still a lot. Have you been to the Gorge yet - I was there 2001 to 2004, and I just hit Alpine last year for the first time. I'm jealous of ya'll doing SPAC - this was supposed to be the year for me for that.

Matthew, his wife and I did gorge last year for the first time. We just had to. And it was amazing. Dave and Tim in Santa Barbara was pretty awesome. I love that venue.

I'm hoping SPAC is as awesome as they say.

Next on the list is Red Rocks (of course) and Alpine. I wouldn't mind trying Wrigley this year but it's just not doable.

2nd night of Santa Barbara was one of my first dates with my now wife. When they played the LA Greek last year, DMB completed all venues I wanted to see them them (or D&T, D&F or Dave solo) in California.

Definitely do red rocks - the first time you walk up that hill with a few beers in you is an experience.

By the way, does anyone know why DMB doesn't play San Antonio anymore? This region should have more shows..

They stopped playing Verizon in Selma (north San Antonio) because they weren't selling it out. That venue is now closed, so if they did San Antonio it'd have to be at a stadium, like where the Spurs play or the minor league ballpark where The Missions play. Personally, as much as I'd love to have them start playing SA again, I'd actually rather them go back to doing two night stands at The Woodlands.

I've decided on doing two different ones. One with just the Texas firedancer flag and one with the Texas Two Step theme in addition to the flag. I'll post links to buy for both in here so people can just choose which one they want.

I would love DMB to play round rock express stadium (Dell diamond). Or hell, even Erwin center again.

But yeah, a two night stand at the woodlands would be best. Still don't know why they don't do that anymore. Even if they don't sell out both nights, a two nighter filled to 16k (3/4 capacity) isn't bad and well worth it.

    To the question earlier.

Wrigley is not confirmed as of now but I hear it's between phish and DMB. The cubs have to forfeit a night game if they do a show, so I don't see them doing both DMB and phish like Fenway. The cubs make big bucks on their handfull of night games but then again... Bringing phish and DMB in might be more profitable.

Missing Fenway was bad enough but missing wrigley sucks a lot too. Maybe I can make it work somehow.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was being talked about but I wasn't sure if those plans had been scrapped or if it was still a possibility. I think I'd have to make that if it happens. Might even choose it over SPAC. SPAC is already starting to be one of my more expensive DMB trips. Chicago might be a little cheaper.

Edited to add: Do the Cubs have to forfeit a night game even if the team is out of town? July 5th (After Alpine weekend) would be a perfect date. Damn. I think I'd have to consider doing Alpine if that happens. Decisions. Decisions.

By forfeit, I meant "play a day game instead of a night game". The people who live around wrigley lobby hard to keep night games to a minimum (noise, traffic, drunks). So, the cubs are only allowed to play like 10 night games all year. The cubs profit from concerts at wrigley but a concert goes toward one of their aloted night games for the year.

I ordered 15 shirts. I'll have 9 extra. When they arrive, I'll start selling them (at cost, of course) here till they run out. If I get rid of them all, and there's still interest, I can order more. I just didn't want to order a ton and then end up eating them.
